747 2.0 Question

Featured Replies

I couldn't find info on this, but I was wondering if the PMDG 747-8 remake will also include the 747-8F. It would go along great with the 777F and whenever airlines start purchasing 747-8Fs.

I am nearly certain, though I cannot find it in the forums, that they will be making the -8F as well as the -8i. Check the videos on youtube from the Munich event for confirmation, as that might be where I heard it.

Best regards, happy flying,

Hmm, I looked through the videos and I found on part 3 at 01:29 that he says it will include the -8F. Will it be together with the -8I or yet another expansion? (So 3 things in total, -400 base pack, -8I expansion, -8F 3rd expansion)

The 747-8 is just a visual expension. So it must be 2.0 either...

No, it isn't.

I think PMDG stated they will produce the 800i and 800f, including the cockpit variations and performance differences between the models.

No, it isn't.

*Note:

This product is a visual model extension that uses the underlying PMDG 747-400X simulation for the flight, cockpit and systems models. This product is not intended to simulate the difference in flight characteristics between the 747-400 and the 747-8. This product allows the user to add a high fidelity visual model of the 747-8 to their Flight Simulator X experience.

My guess is, somewhere along the lines of post #4, we went from 747 v2.0 to 747-400X.

Since the OP is referring to 747 v2.0, I think it's safe to say the entire aircraft will be up to spec (the -8 series, so both -8i and -8F), not just the visuals and sound, right?

Yes it is. Visual model and sound.

I was referring to the upcoming one, like the guy who asked the question. Ah well

will the 747-2 include updated 2d panels or only VC.
