April 23, 200422 yr >Important is you MUST PRESS>APPLY for every plane you change. If you select another plane>before pressing APPLY your changes are lost. Thanks,Markus, that does the trick! I have only texture reduced GA-AI aircraft now to spot behind the bushes.Brings back memories of plane spotting and airdisplay frequenties.Great fun !! :-cool Would it be possible in the final version to *not* copy the sound folder along with 'Make AI Plane' ? I have many aircraft i'd like to use as AI which have original soundsuites. The're (sadly enough) not used for AI purpose so only mean unnecessary mb's. Can be manually deleted and replaced with an alias sound.cfg of course( if necessary in the first place...? ) but would be nice if the program could take care of that. One more thing not clear to me,Markus, if 'bush plane' is ticked, the aircraft will still show up on regular paved airfields too, right ?Thanks again for a wonderful program,Markus !Best Regards,Jan
April 23, 200422 yr Thanks Markus, I did have that problem, I'm looking forward to trying your fix. This is a great idea.
April 23, 200422 yr Markus, your update fixed the out of memory bug for me and the program ran just fine, nice work!
April 23, 200422 yr Hi Jan,the sound folder option I must think about. I don't know how sound is handled to FS9, but will lock at it.Bush planes get a higher priority at 'Grass' fields and lower priority on normal fields. I use this for special plane version like 'Tundra' or similar. Those versions has bigger wheels and look displaced on normal airports so I add the 'Bush plane' feature. Maybe in later versions Bush planes will get additional features, but currently this is the only. You should also see planes with Skis on airports below 2000 m and far away from any snow, because they get also only a lower priority.
April 23, 200422 yr Hi MarkusI installed GA Traffic and flew at my home airport Coolongatta Australia but I have not seen any additional traffic except for MS and Ultimate traffic, I generated everything ok. April 23, 200422 yr Hi Wayne, you have start the program go to the planes and pressed 'Generate Flightplan'?If yes the program worked and after some time it start TTools? TTools will show such text as 'Sorting traffic bands' etc.If all of this works, go in the folder where FS9 is installed and go in the subfolder 'sceneryworldscenery' and look if there is a GA-Traffic.bgl file. If the file is there and has a reasonable size (between 1 and 100 MByte) the generation has worked and you fly maybe at an airport without GA parking places. Please try KORS as airport.Maybe something with my lokal time generation is wrong?I will look specialy at Australian airports.
April 23, 200422 yr Marcus"To exclude a plan you deselect the 'Use fo GA' or you disable all usages or set the probability to zero. All three should result in no use of the plane. Important is you MUST PRESS APPLY for every plane you change. If you select another plane before pressing APPLY your changes are lost."It appears another step is required. You need to generate a flightplan in order to "fix" or "save" these aircraft changes? If you just exit after clicking apply, the changes are no longer there when you start up GA-Traffic, but they are retained if you have generated the flightplans. Am I correct? This is a superb program you have created.NigelVancouver
April 23, 200422 yr Nigel, your tip about having to create a flightplan as the final step in deactivating a plane sure worked for me so I guess you are correct. I'd been really frustrated about my inability to deactivate some planes as AI Planes and this did the trick. Thanks for reporting it. Robert Chartoff
April 24, 200422 yr Markus,>the sound folder option I must think about. I don't know how>sound is handled to FS9, but will lock at it.I notice with Tom Gibson's great historic AI propliners set to replace the default modern AI airliners that there are no sound folders in the AI aircraft folders at all.Just model and texture folders, aircraft.cfg and air file.Still they use the default sounds.Could very well be your program doesn't need to copy the sound folder to the GA-AI folders....Understand about the bush plane tick, thanks ! Small grass strips are always so desolated, would be great to finally see something going on there too! While i have it all quite nicely together now i still do need to re-issue a few flightmodels here and there. The other day, flying an Avro Anson as number 2 on final, i was overtaking the number 1,a Gloster Meteor! :7 The problem with your wonderful program is that it's very addictive to go and see what's going on at the various smaller airports and join the circuit fun instead of doing hard work at the GMax drawing board...:+ Thanks for your prompt answers Markus, highly appreciated !Best Regards,Jan
April 24, 200422 yr Hi Nigel, youre right, but this is a bug of the current version. Next version will work like describe in the document.
April 24, 200422 yr Hi MarcusThanks for the reply, I am sure I have done correct, my GATraffic BGL is about 49 meg and I have selected maximum traffic in your program, I went to KORS and sat there for one hour but saw no traffic movements, I will play around with some more australian airports to see if i can find any GA trafficRegardsWayne Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
April 24, 200422 yr Hi MarkusI have had a look around at some other australian airports and am seeing some traffic but not as mich as I would expect at the larger GA airports like Bankstown, I have maximum traffic set but am only seeing 4 or 5 aircraft . Is there anyway I can add some GA at my local Airport Coolongatta and even add some aircraft doing circuits, great product thanks very muchRegardsWayne Wayne such Asus Hero Z690, Gigabyte Aorus Master 5080, I914900K, Kraken 360 AIO CPU Cooled, 96 GIGS Corsair DDR5, 32 Inch 4K by 3
April 24, 200422 yr Hi Markus! With GA-Traffic I'm seeing Learjets and King Airs cruising at around 7000-8000 ft. Can these aircraft be made to cruise at more realistic altitudes, for a future version of the program maybe? Also, for a future version, would it be possible to restrict aircraft to certain areas? What I mean is that you could be able to select that there shouldn't be any An-2s flying around in the USA, for example, and on the other hand you could choose to have more Learjets in the USA than in Russia...And a question about registrations: Can you explain what "different registration for each different aircraft type" means? How does it work?In Sweden the registrations are SE-... , and jet aircraft have either SE-D.. or SE-R.. (e.g. SE-DMT), ultralights have SE-U.. I think, and gliders have SE-X..Can I make the registrations work like this with GA-Traffic?Thanks for a great program!Martin767 fetishistIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

April 25, 200422 yr Hi Wayne,I checked YSBK and found that the MS AFCAD has only large GA parking places :-( Go to http://afcad.projectai.com/ and download the free version from there and you will get this:
