May 18, 201214 yr SWOTL Careful..SWOTL=Best. Game. Ever. But seriously, despite the fact that these things don't happen in RL or can't be done with NGX, this is the place to ask. Rivet counting is no worse than needing to know the CI for every carrier out there, or wanting to know which routes RW carriers are flying, or even needing the exact placement of an ETOPS decal on the gear doors etc etc Each to their own j JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
May 19, 201214 yr Also, anyone looking for "perfect" here had better just go pay $20,000 to one of the schools and get their real life NG type rating - you aren't going to get perfection in a $70 video game, I'm sorry, that's just a fact. Why did you have to call it a game? I am depressed now. Vladimir Levkov / Владимир Левков Two miles of road can take you two miles. Two miles of runway can take you anywhere in the world
May 20, 201214 yr #1 doesn't happen on the NG according to our tech team pilots (real world NG drivers) - the plane is not 100% the same as a classic is. #2 is an FSX limitation as others already said. #3 I can ask about for SP2. Just to add to #1: On classics the bus tie breakers (power breakers or power contactor as you want to call) for the APU are behind copilot, just behind the lower circuit breaker panel, the GEN1,2 and EXT PWR power contactors are on the right side also, just under the cockpit floor, they can be accessed by unscrewing a lot of bolts from access panels in the nose gear wheel well. In the NGs the electric system was revised and now the power breakers are enclosed in boxes and are different. Now they are in the main avionics bay so far from pilots. Regards Andrea Daviero
May 21, 201214 yr Why did you have to call it a game? I am depressed now. YES !! Damn, I tell all my family and friends that its a state of the art Simulation and that if the pilots got food poisoning I could get them all on the ground without the Autopilot , ha ha I am also depressed!!

The only thing you notice on power transfer on the -800 is the "micro-second" flicker of the lights and a few relays ticking over; as opposed to the "clunks" you'd hear on the classics, i.e the -400. Thanks for the information, that was the type of answer I was looking for! ;-) #3 I can ask about for SP2. Ryan, thanks for getting back to me again. Yes I would appreciate it if you guys would look into this for an update. Ross You crack me up dude. I've been flying sims for more years than I care to mention. Blocky pixels, poor vga graphics, 16 bit colours, slideshow framerates, although AV8b harrier Jump jet was good. Who remembers SWOTL and looking at aircraft on the horizon and seeing litlle shapes of sq pixels vaguely looking like a plane. You get the PMDG and then complain. lol :LMAO: Wycliffe Wycliffe, not sure the point of your post or even if you've read my original one. No, you can't have. I thought I made clear with my very first line that I wasn't complaining! Rivet counting is no worse than needing to know the CI for every carrier out there, or wanting to know which routes RW carriers are flying, or even needing the exact placement of an ETOPS decal on the gear doors etc etc Jake, not sure how you can liken my original post to rivet counting. Have you actually read it, or are you just jumping on Wycliffe's band wagon? Thanks again to the constructive posters. May 23, 201214 yr Jake, not sure how you can liken my original post to rivet counting. I didn't; I thought other people were. I was actually defending your right to ask whatever you wanted without fear of criticism, so you've totally got me the wrong way round - story of my life! but hey..whatever (and yes, of course I read your original post! Why would I get involved in a thread before reading what was in it? I'm not a troll ) best j JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
