Epic DIRECT TO by the Canadian ATC: Hudson Bay all the way to AK. Nice!

(That or FlightAware doesn't have tracking up there, which may actually be more of the case)

I would go for the other explanation, seeing as the "direct" track does not seem like a great circle route that the 787 would have chosen for a real direct to...

I actually won a "commemorative BOS Japan prize pack" and 5 entries towards a Tokyo trip from KBOS on the 787. Just happened to be browsing Facebook and saw Boston airports weekly trivia question asking what is the longest route in the JAL system. So I put RJAA-KBOS and sure enough, they announced me the winner. Sadly though, I hope I don't win the 787 trip, as I would have to decline, because I would have to pay tax on the winnings, which for a trip to Japan and back for two would be VERY expensive. Haha

My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.

Just had the very first one land at my local Airport(EGCC Manchester International) today. Must be a global spread-out by Boeing today.
