May 17, 201214 yr I bet most of the people telling how good IQ their TNs have, have never used a good IPS/PVA screen Hello Maybe you should check out a nice IPS telly: http://www.panasonic.co.uk/html/en_GB/Products/TX-L37E3B/Overview/7285709/index.html
May 17, 201214 yr I use the Pro Clip that attaches to your headset. Place the camera on the left corner of your monitor and have never had a issue. I can look up down and even underneath the console with very little effort. Also IMO a 27" or 30" HD apple display will give you the tightest and clearest picture. May 17, 201214 yr Hello Maybe you should check out a nice IPS telly: http://www.panasonic...5709/index.html Really nice TV and it is good that IPS panels are coming to mainstream priced TVs too. That could be a nice option to my bedroom where I really need a new telly (I have old JVC wide screen tube there  ). But there is still the same problem for desktop use: too low res for the size and distance. I can see the grid of pixels on those large screens from desktop view distance easily. On my 27" I still need to move my eyes to something like foot from monitor until pixels start to come out. And yet more, I can almost bet that the input lag is still there as it really isn't an issue for TV use or with casual console gaming. To the subject: As FreeBird(Josh) said moving camera towards sides may help as vertical angle becomes little smaller from there and thus can help operation. When I got TrackIR I tested different locations with it and with my 27" display there wasn't any problems no matter where the camera was located on the display. I have a shelf almost just on top of the display and TrackIR started to work badly when palced on that, even if it was pointed directly towards reflector. Shelf level is perhaps 6-8 inches above the displays frame. I don't have ProClip, but of course that may help too as it is wholly differently shaped.
May 18, 201214 yr First of all, I was the only one to get the TrackIR4 for review. I have been using it for what seems like many, many years now so, I can advise the best use of this apparatus. It never fails to amaze me how many people don't seem to do any research on things like this before purchasing? The Natural Point website and forums are literally full of profiles for you to try and settings to enable the best view. All that's needed is a little bit of your time reading about them. Okay to start with, I have always used the 'Optimized Flight' profile that was made by our old freind ******* Altuve. Secondly you need to get comfortable and hit 'F12' the default reset button. Now as you use the cursor to control the panel adjustments and FMC, you may as well assign the 'pause' button for 'mouse 3' (Accessed by clicking down on your mouse wheel). That will pause your view so you can then adjust your settings no matter where your head is during the pause. The instructions for setting up your TrackIR camera are ideally the same hieght of your head. Now due to some peoples prosperity buying outsize monitors, it's not always possible so the dodge is to setup your camera further away (The TIR has quite a long potential). The Vector clip is the best IMO as the Track Clip Pro requires the use oh a headset and some on long flights may not want to wear a headset for the duration of the flight. I use the Vector Clip attached to a golf visor you won't pay much more than £10 for. This stops you head overheating wearing a cap indoors Happy flying on the best bit of hardware ever made for flightsim. :Loser: Dave Taylor
