One of those images I can't forget from when I was a kid...

I can still remember the very first time I was on a plane very well... It was back in the summer of 1989, we were leaving Belgium to spend a one week in Greece.

I was 10 back then, and ofcourse I was full of joy when I heard we would be travelling by plane for the very first time. Usually we were spending our 2 weeks summer holidays in southern France; the Côte d'Azur and later in the Languedoc-Roussillon. Oh those +14 hours drive... :)

Back to my very first flight now... There is 1 image that I will never forget, sneaking out of the window while the plane was taxiing to the runway and seeing that strange looking exhaust.

Here I've took a picture of it over Italy. Captain Sim did an excellent job on this!!

And 2 more external views.

Thanks for watching.

Thanks guys!

In the meantime I gave her also a nose job. At first I was not so enthusiastic to give her the typical black nose cone. Texture mapping/allignment is a major PITA for this model. Captain Sim modelled and textured so many features...

They even textured Boeing serial and ID tags in the VC. Which allows me to change them for each individual plane :Nerd: I even provided the VC with EPR value labels (MAX EPR CLIMB, CRZ) as well as Gross weight data tables. I have all these data from pictures that I took almost 10 years ago while flying a real 737-200 sim at the Sabena Flight Academy.

I like the nostalagic touch of your post. For me too , FSX makes me relive the things that I used to , the good old times....................................

I believe FS is taking many of us to places we eager to go to. In our mind, thoughts or in places we visited in real life. That's what is so addictive to it... ;-)

Thanks for the reply yankeegolf.

Carl, please do not take this wrong, but I read you have the honorable age of 70. So I sure can believe that. :-)

Thank you for your message.

aaah! you had to bring that up. I still feel like I am still 30 (lol). Hey, Vital I visited Brussels years ago. I almost caused a mess when I turned into one of those 5 or 6 lane one-way strreets with all the traffic coming right at me.
