736 America West retro.....

Featured Replies

Since I painted an AW 732 ages ago on the old FFX model, I had the "decals" from that project...so this one wasn't hard at all.

This will be the continuation of a retro series I felt like doing, starting with the PAA and TWA 736s. I'll upload all of them this weekend for all who have the iFly series for FSX. If you have the FS9 version, let me know and I'll send you an email with steps to convert the FSX textures to FS9 (the conversion going that way is easier than from FS9 to FSX).

If you want to see another airline that is not flying anymore, let me know and I'll consider it. If its one I've painted before, I'll be more inclined to paint (or transfer rather) to the 736.

I was thinking of your request Clutch....and when I remembered I painted her before...well....there you go. :LMAO:

Have to hit the sack now....have to hop on my weekly 7am flight out of DFW....need to be up by 4 to make it there. :Hypnotized:

That really fits the 736 well! Any chance for a NW Orient and NW Bowling Shoe?

CFII & Delta 737 First Officer

it's interesting to see people painting the IFLY 737 as usual but only painting fictional paints for the ngx, I really wonder what causes that, I mean just check the repaints folder in the pmdg forum, 200 pages mostly filled with fictional paints o_O

Yeah I noticed that too. Maybe they all like to paint fictionals for the same reason I do. :LMAO:

Steve, what a nice surprise. Just came across this thread. THANK YOU! Was expecting their OC, not their OOC's (old-old-colors), ha! Looks great. Please email them when you get some free time.

all the best... Clutch

(that's one nice thing about this hobby is that one can create fictional paints to keep their favorite bygone airlines alive. For me living in SoCal, that means I am always on the look out for such paints like PSA, AirCal, Hughes Airwest, Western, etc.)

Intel i9-12900KF, Asus Prime Z690-A MB, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, (3) SK hynix M.2 SSD (2TB ea.), 16TB Seagate HDD, Gigabyte GeForce 5080 RTX, Corsair iCUE H70i AIO Liquid Cooler, UHD/Blu-ray Player/Burner (still have lots of CDs, DVDs!)  Windows 10, (hold off for now on Win11),  EVGA 1300W PSU
Netgear 1Gbps modem & router, (3) 27" 1440 wrap-around displays
Full array of Bravo, Saitek and GoFlight hardware for the cockpit. Varjo and HP VR headsets for mixed reality.

Thanks again guys!

Hey Clutch, I think there are already paints of the old AW out there.....I like the old old colors better....more classy-looking in my opinion.

I'm trying to get the stripes on the bottom rear section lined up and then I'll upload her.

I just finished the NWA bowling shoe paint, so as soon as I get her, PAA and TWA packaged, they'll be uploaded.
