June 6, 201214 yr Ah, the very mention G-BOAC, my old a/c at BA brings me out in goose pimples of nostalgia, Al. I think Boris Johnson's plan for that venerable old lady to be at Olympic Park is potty. But then this is the same man who made a complete chump of himself at the handover in Beijing re:ping-pong. Would make us a laughing stock. Best to leave her where she is, warm, cherished, pampered at EGCC. Rick Almeida
June 6, 201214 yr No doubt there will be an orbx egll but that probably won't be til next year and will probably be outstanding. There's plenty of doubt, actually. Orbx released a statement a while back saying they would no longer be developing any large international airports. I haven't heard anything to the contrary since then from management.
June 7, 201214 yr There's plenty of doubt, actually. Orbx released a statement a while back saying they would no longer be developing any large international airports. I haven't heard anything to the contrary since then from management. I never saw that statement. That's too bad as I was hoping for some remakes of airports ie EGLL, EGCC, EGPF along the length of the UK to go with the upcoming scenery areas. I own EGCC by UKScenery and if none of the major airports are being developed by Orbx then I will purchase a few more from UKScenery if they will be integrated with Orbx scenery. I was holding back as there are 2 developers with EGLL and thought maybe there would be a third.
June 7, 201214 yr Orbx statement here if anyone interested http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/34184-orbx-and-large-international-airports/
June 7, 201214 yr To be honest, I think that would be sad rather than spectacular, and merely highlight the fact that it could not fly, which is a state of affairs that is frankly a disgrace to this country. But even that plan is currently on hold because of the ridiculous obsession with 'health and safety' which permeates the UK when anyone dares to do something even remotely interesting these days. Health & Safety laws in this country are ridiculous. It won't be long before we all have to provide a risk assessment and method statement to the local council each time we go to the toilet! It's about time that common sense prevailed. June 7, 201214 yr UK2000 is the one I use and comparing to FSDT or Aerosoft products it is brilliant.
