June 19, 201213 yr Commercial Member Anybody having problems with this new version? I go to analyse my C drive and after about 75% it just shuts down. Sent 2 emails to support but yet to get an answer. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
June 19, 201213 yr Can't say I've had any issues. I've been using since release, automatically via schedule and manually a couple of times and have yet to encounter any issues. Have you tried to uninstall and reinstall (make sure that UD3 is removed as well)?. June 19, 201213 yr Author Commercial Member Im going to do that later on. I'm just more ticked at the fact I don't get a response of any sort from their support then the money for the upgrade. Actually 3 worked well. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
June 19, 201213 yr Dave, Have you tried Piriform Defraggler? i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

No never heard of it. Regards, Dave Opper HiFi Support Manager
June 19, 201213 yr No never heard of it. http://www.piriform.com/defraggler Much better than UD4, IMO... and it's free. They also make CCleaner, which is very popular and an excellent cleaning tool. i7-6700K @ 4.5 GHz, 16 GB DDR4-2400 MHz, GTX 1070 8GB

June 20, 201213 yr Sorry to hear that. I switched from Ultimate Defrag to O & O. The new version is awesome, and I use the "Complete Name" defrag, and it works perfectly for FSX. Stan
June 21, 201213 yr I can personally vouch for O&O which works really well. The only "problem" I have with them is that they recommend that you defrag your SSD drives too. I undestand that to be a big no no. You just end up wearing out your drive faster with not much benefit.
June 21, 201213 yr Tried O & O a couple of years ago but found the "working time" to be excessive, even with regular use. Recall having to wait over 4 hours for a full defrag to finish. Even when system was neat & tidy. The Quick Defrag option was the only viable option for daily use. Some may find that acceptable but I didn't, as there were huge Video files being placed on and removed, on a regular basis. Thus a full defrag was a necessity. Removed it and went back to Diskeeper, which runs quickly on a maintained system. Arnie....if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
June 21, 201213 yr I let my O & O run overnight. In the morning, Voila! Perfect defrag of my C and E drives. Stan
