I have a feeling when this actually goes on site, it will be a real load on their website.

wut do you mean? Overload and server goes down? You have 2 options of where to buy Alaska. Split the differential!

Well....... huge in comparison to the size of the hawaii pack, but the file size is actually tiny for a modern game.... Wonder what the compression ratio is?

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

MS confirmed on Steam a ~2GB download size.

Huge? Define huge... 2gb for a whole continent? I'm skeptical

Well, you see, it all depends on what you are used to... When I had FSX I never bought an Orbx scenery area... The biggest scenery I ever bought was Continental Portugal and the Madeira islands :-)

In ELITE scenery is sparse, rather sparse, and I have only Genview Spain and Portugal, so.... For me Hawaii was already wonderful, both for the extension and for the qualitiy and detail, and Alaska will be even better :-)

And when I think that I didn't find the time to get all Aerocaches in Hawaii, I wonder how much it'll take to get them all in Alaska!!!!

The LC data that slipped yesterday is also promissing! I beileve Alaska will be a very positive surprise, even if the first aircraft model offered with it is a basic version...

The fact that Alaska is a LOT larger doesn't mean there will be more aerocaches. I presume there will be just as many as there were in Hawaii.
