Trials and Tribs

Enroute from Liverpool to Norwich I had a double engine failure about 40 miles from Norwich. Luckily I was already in my descent phase and managed to restart the port engine but could not restart the starboard engine.

I had just got established on the localizer and my computer crashed.......I am getting really tired of my comp CTD.

I have recently purchased ASE as ASv6.5 was giving me problems but maybe I need a new FS comp. :(

Just done the flight again (you did want a flight to/from LPL Darthy) ...no engine failures this time but CTD 30 miles out of Norwich!

I ran scan afd ...not the problem...flew with no AI ....not the probkem. Oh well :(

As for VC's ...for GA yes but otherwise not for me. I am more than happy with my photoreal 2D's

.....but who knows maybe one day.

Nice F-27 action, but that sucks about the CTD's. I'm also thinking about a new FS9 computer, but will probably wait until year end, or maybe Haswell next year.

Hello John, I had a quick gander...to wait until the years end sounds good to me. Something is causing a problem at EGSH but I pretty sure it is not my comp.

Awesome, Ed! Sound like one of the sceneries causes the problem.

Great shots as usual Ed..

As great as those HDEv2 clouds look, I cant see why anyone uses those over done looking REX clouds?

Can you write that again please Jim.....I'm not sure what you are saying.

Regarding my CTD's .....it's looking like AES is the culprit.... :(

What I mean in other words, is that your cloud set, which I assume is HDEv2, looks much better than any of the REX sets i've seen, and its free on top of that. The REX clouds I see posted here always look out of place, too sharp, and not very natural.

Sorry for the confusion, I was just complimenting your choice in clouds.

I thought that was what you meant....and obviously I agree. I have just purchased ASE as my AS6.5 was causing problems and I find the ASE/HDEv2 combo to be perfect for me.

.... regarding my CTD's ..... with AES disabled ....this time BSoD!
