July 13, 201213 yr Wow, Manny. What a view! Hi Gregg. I luv it, luv it luv it... If only I can get 30FPS Locked. :P Now I need to build the cockpit. :) Its all in disarray. I have my PC sitting on a table to the left. Since I just built it there and had it open. I am almost done testing it an all, I have to move it to its proper place and put back all the avionics etc. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
July 14, 201213 yr Hi Manny The setup i have with 3 diff veiws is more demanding. I want to do some more test can install the PMDG NGX only to test nomaly a shall use The PROSIM Jetstream. After runs in Dazz GPU test its cleraly that in the most parts in FSX ar CPU limited. You run the IB @4.5 and Tridedents 19XXX , My tests was med with 2700K @5.3 2133. I have the 3770K in the PC now and that one is not as fast as my 24/7 2700K setup at @4.9. I dont know how the 3770 performs @4.5 with Tridents, the slowest i had run with 3770 is @4.6 2666 cl10 and my normal 3770 setup 24/7 is @4.8 2666 cl10 and what i know thats a huge diff in CPU Power. I not want to be rude but but think i have +6fps FSMark Cpu frames and that counts on big resulotions. Just my 2cents. Kind Regards Hasse http://
July 14, 201213 yr Well been playing about for a few days now, after my sadly disappointing first flight after install of new card, I've reconfiged FSX, deleted cfg and rebuilt new one using ******* cfg helper, lowered settings to high rather than ultra, installed and setup nv inspector using settings on here. Now getting 30fps flying caranado P46T using utx, Rex, Iceland X, Gex, my traffic pro. At 5060 x 1050 ( for some reason gtx 680 won't give me my full res of 5670 x 1080 ) Still got to check around the pnw to see how Orbx runs, but first need to cross atlantic. ( only fly in areas after I've flown to them ) If I change to PMDG 737 Ngx, I do have to lower res to 1920 x 1080 to get a fly able fps, hopefully that will change when I put 3570k OC to 4.4 in next month.. All in all, one fantastic card.
