July 9, 201213 yr Hi Was little to positive about the frames at EHAM during Taxi , as you all know it a demanding one but it will be ok if take back the sliders a little have only 22-29fps during taxi. Judge your self, what you think guys? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=liD9Z4Mulm4 Regards Hasse http://
July 9, 201213 yr Thanks Hasse. I'll try what you posted this weekend. BTW. I have the EVGA GTX 670 FTW not the 690 video card Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter

July 10, 201213 yr Would a xfa2 gtx 680 4GB OC and 3570K running at 4.4ghz run fsx at 5670 x 1080? Would like to run PMDG 737 at this res if possible. Like I said, I have a GTX560Ti 2gig ram...not overclocked...a good card but not near the 680. I fly the J41 at 3840x1024 with no problem...30fps with an external limiter in Orbx areas with the scenery turned up to dense. I don't have the 737 but I've heard that the J41 and 737NGX have similar framerates. You can see my system specs on the left. Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. July 10, 201213 yr Its not a slideshow And I can tell you why: all you are displaying is a surrounding scenery. If you want to benchmark yourself and your situation sit yourself into an NGX VC with it on all 3 monitors. Then let's see how FPS will float. The point being: you could be running many displays with only scenery displaying, that wouldn't drain the performance at all. It's like looking in spot view with zoom on minimum. You have a nice hardware all around, making it unnecessary to have a VC. Something many are going to run.

Then let's see how FPS will float. After your tweaks (for which I am sooo thankful) my system runs fine with J41 VC in Orbx PNW right at about 30fps. Not bad for a lowly 560. It's not perfect...I do get blurries a couple of miles out in photoreal areas but, on the other hand, I've got a bunch of scenery stuff cranked up. It's not perfect but it's acceptable and, generally, quite smooth. Somebody else might crank down the dynamic stuff so they could reduce the blurries or just not go the 3 screen route at all so they could have other heavyweight options. It's a matter of how you want to spend the cycles you have, right? Gregg Seipp "A good landing is when you can walk away from the airplane. July 10, 201213 yr Well just installed my new GTX680 4gb card, installed 8 GB DDR3 Ram 1600MHZ and Overclocked my 965 BE to 3.7GHZ, then ran my CFG through *******'s site and put in the new cfg that it made. After all of that......... 13 FPS at Gatwick with PMDG 737. at 1920 x 1080 or 9 FPS at 5670 x 1080. I keep hearing of these people who can get over 30. Just what else does this damn sim need. Guess im gonna be spending all day tomorrow tweaking and trying to figure out what went wrong yet again. instead of flying. a Rather Annoyed Cowboy10uk Corsair 570x Crystal Case, Intel 8700K O/clocked to 4.8ghz, 32GB Vengeance RGB Pro DDR4 3200 MHZ Ram, 2 x 1TB M2 drives, 2 x 4TB Hard Drives, Nvidia EVGA GTX 1080ti FTW, Maximus x Hero MB, H150i Cooler, 6 x Corsair LL120 RGB Fans.

Sandy/Ivy @ 4.5GHz+ is a good *start* for those kind of add-ons & settings.
July 11, 201213 yr Guess im gonna be spending all day tomorrow tweaking and trying to figure out what went wrong yet again. instead of flying. a Rather Annoyed Cowboy10uk No need to break the head on tweaking. Your CPU is too slow, as Max said. You need high clocked SB/IB. And running 5670/1080 is never going to give you smooth 30fps, except if you are not using VC/panels, like westman is doing. I would very much like to see a performance when 3 screens in play, with NGX VC looking towards UK2000 Gatwick (or EGLL, EHAM, or similar) on a powerful machine. I somehow am sure that it's going to bring any system to it's knees.
July 11, 201213 yr Hi guys, yep figured that's the case. Planning to upgrade CPU and MB to a I5 3570k and sabertooth z77 in a few months. Fingers crossed that will finally get this thing to work. Sorry about tone of previous message, was tired and rather annoyed that one of the fastest cards out there still can't run fsx at a decent frame rate. On a positive note though it runs Rise of flight, BF3 and Skyrim all maxed out at a very good speed. :) Will tweak the graphical settings in fsx and in nvidia control panel and see if I can't at least get a workable solution for the next few months. July 11, 201213 yr OK, report the situation, which scenery, runway, aircraft, weather etc, so I can compare. Thanks.
July 12, 201213 yr The problem with the aligned three independent views is that as soon as you go off a level view, by looking around the VC, your cockpit starts to look like like a cubist painting with the three monitors not aligning. It's fine if you have plenty on hardware like westman and do not have to alter your view point. gb. YSSY. July 12, 201213 yr The best you will get with cloud and everything maxed, PMDG737, UK2000 Gatwick is 11-15. I dont think any of the current hardware will make a difference. Regards Howard H D Isaacs
