July 8, 201213 yr Working on it but at a very, very, very slow pace due to the sheer cost of it. I think I'll stop at the instrument rating because if I do fly for a living it will be with the Flight Service department. Since military isn't a good option due to eyesight (20/40) and I do not want to fly with a regional with a big license debt on my shoulders I rather take the flight service route. July 8, 201213 yr For now, I take lessons with my instructor on Cessna 152 and SR22 (cockpit G1000) to get my PPL. For CPL and ATPL, I'll see later. My goal is to have my PPL. Airline pilot is a profession that requires patience. Good Luck all !

July 9, 201213 yr i'm going to join the FTE Jerez, Spain, in the next months to get an integrated ATPL course Good luck! I'm in modular and was looking at them for IR-MEP/CPL/MCC/JOC after ATPL's. Let me know how it goes! - I'm doing my Private License at the moment, should be done before the end of the year. At the moment I'm planned to go OAA for ATPL's but things can change between now and next year, which I'm hoping it won't! I feel having a PPL or working towards it is pretty standard within the Aviation community. A little like getting your driving license? I'm actually doing my PPL over in California and I will say the FAA do things very different to us in the UK/Europe. I didn't realise how tougher it is over here to get to an Airline as you have to have the 4 Year Degree, CFI etc. I personally wouldn't like to fly commercially over here. Good luck to everyone else! - Luke Pabari
