July 8, 201213 yr Author I dont really see a downside here, its pretty much the same as any casino, the house has to be the winner in the end. ZORAN
July 8, 201213 yr Wow... you pay $5 just to for one flight? I can and do do that for free anyway, 'tis why I bought flight sim. July 8, 201213 yr So they are basically hoping to make easy money out of simmers buying these tickets? Each to there own I guess. It's only easy if they have enough pilots signing up. If they get less they they hope for, they have to cover the prize money out-of-pocket and they actually make a loss. If they're giving out $1,500 total prize money, and each ticket costs $5, they need at least 300 pilots to sign up just to break even. Somehow I don't see that happening, but who knows. AJ Pongress
July 10, 201213 yr Not 300 pilots. They need 300 tickets to break even. I am sure there are going to be people trying 2-3 or even more times to beat the score. I would guesstimate around 200 pilots or less is going to be enough, since most are going to do it twice. I would. In the end, what's 5 bux seriously? I give it out on a waffle and coke, or something... daily. But at the end of the day, I will probably let this one pass. Paying to show my skills? Nah... I have principles in life, and this is one of them.
July 10, 201213 yr $5 is nothing really, This will be fun for some. I am not a gambling man and don't play any of those poker sites but for some this is a pretty good gamble. $5 could win you $1000 if you are confident enough in your skills, so why not then.... Cheers Matthew Kane I'm Dyslexic, what's an error to you is not to me
July 10, 201213 yr $5 is nothing, gambler or not, this could be a lot of fun and another new challenge in FSX. It's not about ego's and principles! The odd's are very good so I will try it out. -Iain Watson-
