You have to give them an email, so I made one up. No way I am going to give Ariane my email.

I did the same thing as Fred. I'm wary of anything that can bring spam. The video is ok, but doesn't show a lot.Mike F.

"No way I am going to give Ariane my email." Good idea :-) .Doug

I downloaded it...even game them a valid email. They can't send me anything worse than I already get! :)Anyway video is about 2 minutes and 50 seconds. The first full minute and the last 10 seconds or so are blah blah text and ariane/boeing logo crap. Stupid. The VC stuff does look pretty cool. However most of the panning in the VC appears to be happening at about 2 frames per second. It was agonizing watching the screen tear as the camera panned around. Eh, I'm not convinced yet. I'm still holding my heavy $$$ to see what the price on the Ariane is going to be and how well it's modelled.

>The video is ok, but doesn't show a lot.Mike,I am speaking with an obvious bias, but I thought the video showed alot. It showed poooor framerates. Look at the stuttering. It looks really nice (I am not so blind as to ignore that), but the stutters! UGH!

I notice those apparent framerates, but was willing to assume it was some sort of compression in the film. ;)Mike F.

>I notice those apparent framerates, but was willing to assume>it was some sort of compression in the film. ;)Perhaps so ;)

That's right - almost half of the movie is wasted on some commercial slogans. And then when it actually begins ligthing effects in the VC are very nice indeed but watching the horrible stutter makes you wonder about their "NEW code, not UPDATED" - this NEW code is going to give you OLD stutters. I was hoping they would zoom in on EADI during a turn to show how instruments refresh but they are not in the business of committing a suicide .. :-hahMichael J.

Finally got the video and apart from the 60 second intro I'm very impressed. Looks like all the systems are modelled, INS etc.....The virtual cockpit looks super realistic too. I'm guessing the stuttering is down to video compression? Anyway I never fly with addon scenery/autogen etc in Flightsim, so my frames are always fine. :-)She looks to have potential in my eye, hopefully flight dynamics etc will be great too.

Just take a look at their DUs and the lettering on the ND. Does not look anything like the real ND and nowhere close to the PMDG's displays. Are these even vector gauges? All the talk does not tell one anything about the product, I need no bias to state this still has no product details just hipe.Best Wishes,[h4]Randy J. Hello All,I too got their e mail, and was glad to see it. First, as far as spam from Ariane, I get one e mail from them every six months or so, and I would hardly call that spam. Usually its a new product intro and that is fine with me . . . I get far more from others in this business much more.Second, I liked it, and hey, it was their video, they made it, they can put their logo on it . . . no big deal. I doubt if the stutters were 'frame rate related' items, probably how the video was put together.I also liked the looks of the panel, and if it is as good as they say, will probably buy it. Lord knows there has been worse offered by others for as much or more. I have to say, I've pretty much liked most of the stuff they have offered. It also looked very close to the NG cockpit I sat in last week at ORD.And I already know that EVERY cockpit for simming is involved in some kind of compromise . . . that's because it's a simulation on our computers and not a full motion simulator. You guys remember what your mom's use to say to you? "if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything . . ." sounds like mom had the right idea. "A new generation has landed"Yeah its too bad you will have to wait 4 more generations for a computer to come out to run it decently.

My opinion is that system on which this video was recorded is much too slow. Put PMDG on that system, with the same settings, you'll get probably the same performance. Why do I think that? Because if you go to the external view, you also see major stuttering, from every angle and very poor framerates. I think what's causing this stuttering and these FPS is too slow computer and too much graphics set, to kinda show-off the beauty.Maybe because noone is buying Ariane products, they can't afford themselves some big a** machine. *lol*
