accufeel update?

Featured Replies

Hi,

I stop using this a week or so after downloading because the settings could not be saved. I have poked around on their site and I cannot find an update or patch.

Does anyone know what is going on?

No fix coming in the near future as far as I know of; at least no word on the subject from A2A lately. Unfortunately, A2A tend to get behind the power curve in terms of updating their released projects.

Well that is just BS. They know they have the issue and how long has this been out? 3 months 4 months. Saving to a cfg or file cannot be that time consuming. Geez, that is really BS. I like that word!!

The last post is a month old and they are on the saving issue. http://a2asimulation...hp?f=90&t=30503

In Development

This has passed initial research tests and is actively being developed

- Support for custom doors / windows. Also, being able to adjust the point at which the doors are opened / closed. Will support gradually opening / closing windows, like our Accu-Sim B-17.

- Open Cockpit Aircraft

- gForce body stress sounds

- Allow more items to be completely bypassed (ex: Mach high limit is 3.2. Allow this setting to be OFF)

- Lower brake squeal sounds for heavies, or selection of library

Don't worry, Bob. I'm sure they are on it. If it was somebody else, but it's A2A and I never saw bad service over there, or hurried releases.

Perhaps you can drop them an email and ask for a beta. Since you are affected with that saving issue, it would make sense.

They will fix it.

From what I read it seemed that Accu-Feel development was delayed whilst the P51 was released.

I think anytime now we can expect an update.

I am glad that there are some Accufeel users keeping an eye on an update. So, when I changed the settings on individual aircraft to be more what I liked, the settings are not saved for the next time I start up FSX? I did not realize that.

If A2A does do an update, I also hope they make Accufeel work with helicopters also.

You would have to check that actually. Some users seem to receive that saving bug, others not. I don't know the numbers though. Mine works so far. If you customize a lot of planes, that thingy surely is annoying, while, if you leave everything at default, you won't even notice it.

Check their website, it is in beta testing now! Shouldn't be long.

Cheers

We actually have a much more severe issue with Accufeel. We reported this to A2A and have yet to receive a response... Oh well...

What issue are you speaking of?

When we fly the Sabre (in beta now) with it on, the accufeel basically tosses the plane around like it's a feather. With it off, it's flying fine. A bit strange I admit but we are putting a bunch of new code types in.

Anyway, we offered them a beta of the plane for their perusal but... no response. About a week now...

Ah well, that exlains it. I thought I was imagining things. Why the heck was something like this released with such an obvious flaw? I don't get it...

The save issue is confirmed fixed. We just have on minor pesky bug happening with choppers atm and have not been able to get a firm handle on it. If anyone wants to try the beta now, pm either lewis or me on our forums, or pm me here. Scott.

I have had zero issues with Accu-Feel (other than it not saving settings)

Howard, I dont think that A2A would have released anything half assed.....its not their style!
