26JUL12 - PMDG 777 for FSX: Let the previews begin!

Recommended Posts

Gents-

I can't give you much detail here- because it is something that you haven't seen done yet in FSX... however...

We just had a breakthrough on something that is a huge technology advance for simmers who wish to fly the 777...

Can't tell you what it is yet- but we will show it to you in a video- and I think you will be quite excited.

I just had to tell someone. B)

When will we see this? Just wondering...

Maybe the breakthrough is a more advanced and realistic way of simulating FBW? I'm sure that's been mentioned in this thread by now but besides that, an EFB and maybe onboard cameras, I am not sure what else they could be talking about. Whatever it is, I'm sure I'll be amazed by it.

Best regards, happy flying,

Wallace

Maybe they wait till CS has released the 1.0 version of their 777. I mean they are at 0.9 and PMDG wants to look what their rivals are doing.

But actually I don't think CaptainSim is a competitor to PMDG.

Im pretty sure CS is not a threat to PMDG. And PMDG is not the least bit concerned with CS. We are talking about two different levels of quality and simulated systems. You get what you pay for and every former PMDG customer knows that. Not saying CS is bad cause I havnt seen the final product, but the bar is very high when compared to PMDG and few come close in my opinion. Qualitywings I think is up there and hopefully the 787 is in the ballpark of these high standards.

Nope, not really. Making a joke about having no life cause he posts every day in here, then having that joke remind me of something from south park. Doesn't sound out of order to me.

I'm no better though. I have dreams about flying the 777

Since I got the PMDG 737NGX, I stopped looking after A320's at my local airport, which is EDDF, and started to turn my head after every NG that passes or taxies by. Now every time I see a 777, especially a -300ER, I'm just like "woow, look at that!". Therefore I just can't wait to have a full simulation of this particular aircraft for my notebook, which is even certified by Boeing, just like the NGX!

From this moment on I got two weeks of holidays and it would be great to see some previews soon and start a discussion about the shown images.

But yeah, that's life, you always have to wait for the good things... :P

I belive you're referring to what's in the UK known as PDC, I don't see how PMDG would model it though. Who would issue the clearances?

Wikipedia says they're making the B787-8 for FSX. I don't know if that's true but that would be amazing.

Wikipedia is not an official communication tool of pmdg to the rest of the world. Development of a 787 has not been confirmed or even hinted at by the staff.
