August 3, 201213 yr Try loading your fuel using the CDU and not some external program (which is a big no no for the NGX), I'm pretty sure it is causing the problem. fuel.aerotexas is a fuel planner, not loader. You still have to put the fuel you want in through the CDU. That is, unless he is using the FSX menu- then I agree with you. Thanks!Nick CrateChief Executive OfficerFedEx Virtual Air Cargo
August 3, 201213 yr All done through the CDU ^_^ Interesting... Send a picture of the landing init page when your approach is like this. Thanks!Nick CrateChief Executive OfficerFedEx Virtual Air Cargo
August 3, 201213 yr Hmmm, that is a fair amount of fuel, if that's in kg. You're in an SWA plane landing in 'Merica! Use lbs! ;) Matt Cee
August 4, 201213 yr Any tips please :-D Rusty Hi Rusty, Just out of curiosity, after carefully checking all parameters (Vref, etc.) II would setup the plane for a full autoland and check what the plane does. With correct weights and the right meteo conditions, you should land at Vref+5. Bruno

I usually fly European routes but as I decided to go visit our cousins in the good ol' USA, I have forgotten to change to imperial pounds, which would mean exactly that I am landing with over half as much fuel extra Tonight I will indeed fuel the 737 with lbs :P Thanks again for all who have replied, its people on this forum that make this hobby as great as it is... August 4, 201213 yr Concerning the approach speed, its correct that while Vref+5 is recommended when landing with autothrottle on, as wind/gust protection is provided, if your landing without A/T or plan to disengage before landing, you need to use the wind additive to find Vapp which IIRC is Vref + 1/2 the headwind component + the gust factor. -Michael
