Can you manually enter a flightplan?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys-

I'm looking to buy this plane, but I don't want to if you can't put a flightplan in manually. It's a waste of the G1000 in my opinion if you can't. So, can it be done?

Thanks in advanced!

Thanks!

I don't think this is possible :

Aside from the great exterior and handling, the G1000 has a few issues that I'm sure can easily be mended. The main ones that stood out to me are as follows.

1) The airspace coloring is completely off.

2) The VSI shows feet by multiples of 1, not 100

3) The FPL page is non-functional (crazy not to have this working)

4) The click spots are difficult at best

5) The XPNDR options are incorrectly modeled

Allways three greens,

Hmm, so... can I import a flightplan from Plan G or FSC?

Yes you can make a multiple waypoint flight plan in Plan G and load it.

You can also make a multi waypoint plan from the FSX flight planner.

FSX has always had the limitation of single or direct waypoints in the default GPS.

Basicaly you have 2 chioces a flight plan or fly direct to each waypoint then enter a new waypoint when you reach the last one.

I also use Plan G and its a great little utility to make FSX plans.

Also Flight Sim Commander 9 allows the export of plans to various add-ons. FSBuild 2.3 also does the same.

Howard I'll send an email. I will be in your area a little before 1300 on Tuesday 21.

In spite of your recent anti-Australian sentiment, and the curious Gold Medal success of the Brit team, I will buy the first beer!
