For those of you with FPS issues...

1) turn off the GPS. Check for FPS.

2) turn off any addons. Check for FPS

3) check for max texture load. (lower to 1K)

4) Bill, Chuck, if you can think of anything else, let me know...

For those of you who are STILL having issues after this... and wish to return the product, please pm me and I will see what can be done.

Hey Milviz, I am so disappointed that the frames are so poor on this plane on my system. It really flies beautifully and you have done a great job, but alas, even after trying your suggestions I still have very poor frames. In the VC I am getting 22/23 where in the Realir Duke its 26/27. Even if I turn off all the avionics the frames still only get to about 24. I have also tried changing the texture file for the interior reflections, but that has done little to help the situation. I really think that if the issue cannot be resolved then I will PM you, but this really does go against the grain with me.

I find the fps lowers when im looking outside, if i just have the main panel in view then my fps is good, if i reset the view to default then it drops even though i only have part of the main panel in view.

Stock i7-920 15 to 18fps with Orbx NZSI scenery and at the NZQN airport sat at runway 23 and when i move the view down it goes up to 27 fps.

dont know if this is any help as i don't want a refund.

er.... i'm not sure that 22/23 is very poor frames... poor frames for me is 20 or lower. Nonetheless, I stand by my word. Want a refund? Ask.

You're a good guy. Frames and performance I guess is subjective, but when an aircraft delivers 20-25% less performance than any other in my hangar, including the NGX, then it doesn't leave much headroom when things start getting heavy in the way of high AG or heavy weather. I'll PM you Milvitz and I very much appreciate your offer.

Did you try the non-reflective glass optional file? Scroll a few posts down for the link. The B55 is the heaviest plane on my systen but still runs at 25+ on my old system.

Sorry, I now see that you tried that, but Android does not let me edit my silly post.

Hi Ralf, yep. Not a lot made a great difference to be honest, whcih is a shame as it's a great aircraft.

Yes, it is. I fly with a VC zoom of 1.0, maybe that could help.

Howard,

The frames are great on mine, here's what I did.

1. Swapped out the Milviz GNS suite for the RXP 530/430 WAAS suite.

2. Got rid of the [Window02] from the panel.cfg (this really helped, as with it still installed, FSX was loading and running not only my RXP GNS's, but the stock ones here as well!).

3. Cleaned up the rest of the panel.cfg by ridding the VirtualCockpit 05 and 06 from the entry as they are only used when the switch below the GPS section is activated, removing the 3D buttons. I should also point out that the more VC entries you have in the panel.cfg, the harder the FPS hit will be. After doing this I only have entries 01-04.

Hi matey, hmm, done all that. Unsure what has gone on, it really pains me 'cos it's a great aircraft...

I have low fps, too. It is still flyable but performance is below almost all of my other GA.

BUT if I turn off the upper GPS fps rocket jumps after like 5 to 10 seconds. Performance is better than the Turbine Duke then. I do not really need that gps all the time so I just turn it off for the performance boost when I fly over heavy scenery. It is not a perfect solution but I really like that plane. There is no way I give it back.

So strange that what works for some does not work for others. FSX is a strange software.

Ok I see you already returned the plane, butt here must be something askew somewhere as I get 20+ easily on a 4 year old machine and I believe you have an I7. Something very odd, but then we have seen these things happening all the time that even 2 identical machines sometimes give different results.
