ILS alignment issues

Featured Replies

Hi,

Im having issues with lining up on the runway. I double and triple check ILS freq and course, the localizer is set and glideslope is captured but the aircraft never lines up properly. It is always 10 deg offset to the right. I have to always disconnect autopilot and fly it manually. This only happens on my pmdg md11. Pmdg 737ngx is perfect and so is all other aircraft.

I have done the magnetic variation fixes which updates the BGL files. Not sure what else it is. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Well go figure. Who would have thought a registry path fix would fix that. Either that or the batch of airports I landed at were just misaligned scenery. Just landed KPHX and it was bang on. The other airport I landed the ILS was perfectly aligned on the PFD but landing i was offset 20' to the right so must be scenery glitches.

Thanks for the tip.

Well I just ran into the same issue with the MD-11 at CYVR as well.  Like you said all other aircrafts are fine.  Can anybony explain why this is the case with the MD-11?

Thanks

That's particular  airport rwy might  have  a offset ils  approach  so it probably nothing  wrong  with it,  did you check the charts  at all usually it  says in there  if its  an offset  approach ils

There is no offset. I got FSDT YVR and everything is perfect. Landing with all planes including the md11 is spot on. Perhaps there was a mess up with default or orbx pnw.

I don't have FSDT YVR but I have ORBX's YVR.  I have not tried with the registry fix but I tried twice yesterday without, the MD-11 lands on the right side of 26L using ILS with the runway forming an 2-3 degree angle on the left side at approach.  Using the NGX the landing is spot on with the same ORBX airport.  I will have to understand a bit more about what this registry fix does.  I would have thought the entry was created with my initial install of FSX, which is always not at the default location.  I am hopeful that this is it.

Thanks

I am using ORBX's YVR, RW26L.  The default airport has the same issue with the MD-11.  I have the Magdec.bgl update from that French fellow installed.

Thanks

I applied the Flight 1 registry fix and it solved the problem for me as well.  The plane now lines up with ORBX's YVR 26L correctly.

I applied the Flight1 registry. No result. Still MD-11 does not lines up with RW9 KSAN.

I just landed KNSI RW30. MD-11 keep lines up right side of the ILS runway.

I made another test flight with NG737X-600. There were no problems with KSAN RW9 ILS. 737 made an auto landing. It was perfect.

So there is a problem with MD-11X, :(  nothing wrong with KSAN ILS.
