August 22, 201213 yr I could have sworn I'd gotten a lot of these recent AOTDs before - but they're registering when I nab 'em, so I'm not complaining. - Peter C http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bob_and_Ray_Show
August 22, 201213 yr Got it... In my case I had missed lot's of AOTDs when I changed PC - it took me more than 2 weeks to get back "flying" :-), so, they're really welcome now :-) For this one I took the RV6. August 22, 201213 yr Quite easy really. Take off , turn so you are flying an easterly course and the diamond shaped lake should be straight ahead. When you get there the cache is just north east of this. Took me about five minutes. I must say I`m enjoying finding all these new caches. A few I have got already but so far most of them are new for me.
August 22, 201213 yr do you guys use the aerocache indicator? I only use the indicator if it's obvious I'm not going to find an aerocache any other way. Most of the time I figure out where it should be, then go flying around looking for it. Occasionally after a half hour of searching, I'll go back and start a formal aerocache hunt. August 22, 201213 yr I look for them in free flight with the points of interest feature turned off, always taking off from Molokai. I only turn it on when I just can't find it - like with those waterfall caches. Man, I hate those. - Peter C http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bob_and_Ray_Show
August 22, 201213 yr I do. Might as well make use of it as it`s there. Ab-so-lu-te-ly. Real world pilots use those aerocache indicators all the time
August 22, 201213 yr Yeh I`ve seen `em at the end of the runway at our airport! Oh hang on - they are landing lights!
