August 31, 201213 yr I was working fine the other day. Now Ctrl Q will not move it back into the cockpit. I was moving it left and right and back behind one of the engines on the C-46 when last I quit the game. Yes I know it moves slowly but no matter how long I hold the keys nothing happens. I did not mess with any files. probably something simple I hope. The forward view works fine but won't move.

August 31, 201213 yr Author Late last night just before I went to bed I discovered it had something to do with the TrackiR. Pause the TrackiR and it will work. Unpause the iR and it just disaaears, strange. I will have to mess around somemore today.
August 31, 201213 yr Yes, TrackIR will do that, because TrackIR effectively becomes axis controls for all the eyepoint movements.
September 1, 201213 yr Author So one or the other. I never liked the bitmap panels anyway. just wish they could have given us a 6 pack of generic gauges up in the corner someplace. I might have mentioned this before, I HATE THE HUD!
September 1, 201213 yr If you want to use the fake cockpits, you can enable the Screenshot Camera and park it in the fake cockpit by editing the Cameras.cfg file. Then you would just select that view instead of the Cockpit view for the fake cockpit. I summarized instructions for editing the camera views in the Tutorial section.
September 1, 201213 yr Yeah but with that camera it looks and sounds like you're flying with all the doors and windows open. Rain coming in, sunflare and also the wind noises, plus it looks pretty horrible imo
September 3, 201213 yr If, in the "Cameras.cfg" file, you tag an outside (like "Spot" or "Screenshots") camera "cockpit" in definition, you'll have the sounds changing to sounds from inside the cockpit, even if the cockpit was not unable from the start... Another little good thing from Flight.
