After Jon's very complete list I could only add a couple of freeware add-ons:

- The Zenith CH 750 and CH650

- The Fokker F27

OSM2XP is mostly Europe .. right? no equivalent for the US?

This totally depends on OpenStreetMap. OSM2XP only uses data from OpenStreetMap. If someones updates the building data in OpenStreetMap in an area OSM2XP can use this information. Since many areas in europe were gathered for some time, OpenStreetMap has a pretty good idea how european cities look like.

You can simply download a program like JOSM to pick the OSM data of an area. If there are no buildings stored OSM2XP can't know these buildings. But you can change the background to a bing satelitte photo of this location and with a plugin add buildings that you see in the background and add additional informations.

Anyway, the new autogen that will come with 10.20 will probably worth the wait :-)

This site has the entire planet broken down into sections (states for the US, individual countries and provinces for the rest of the world) in OSM2XP-ready format, (.PBF) -- http://download.geofabrik.de/osm/

Fair warning-- anything over 1 GB should be broken up into chunks or the conversion will take days and could crash OSM2XP. There are other sites out there that have individual cities for the really dense locations, e.g. France. Here's one place with quite a few cities: http://metro.teczno.com/

A Google search for "Open Streetmap extracts" will yield more results.

thanks all ..

if you convert to openstreetmap .. can you get back to default without a reinstall?

I'm getting excited about working with OSM2XP. I just have to stop buying new stuff for FSX.
