The CD version distributed by Aerosoft seems to be SP1b. So, I'd recommend downloading and installing "737 -800/900 NGX Base Package SP1c" from PMDG's website.

The "737 -600/700 NGX Expansion" is a different story. This adds the -600 and -700 and needs to be purchased separately (however, it won't run without the 800/900 SP1c being installed before).

I hope this clarifies the concerns by the thread opener a bit.

Best regards,

Stefan

Now you are getting annoying...

There is a readme with each patch - try reading it. It will tell you what you need to know including what (if any) previous patches are required and how to find out.

There was a EULA with the software itself. Try reading it again and then you can tell me if the person who sold you the disc was legally entitled to do so.

Unbelivevable you are continuing with your accusation this is just unbelivevable !!!

Look - i do not want to annoy you so just ..live me along and go help others.

4X-SBR....Final !

Jeez,

This straight from introduction manual, page 3. Emphasis original:

Please review the license agreement carefully, as it provides you with

only limited rights. Specifically, you may not sell, resell, trade or

barter this software product/license without the permission of PMDG.

I guess a company selling the NGX through eBay could, in theory, get permission to re-sale from Aerosoft and PMDG, but personally I would not risk it. Anyway considering you got it at 8 euros more than at aerosoft, but with free shipping, you were not screwed financially, but you might have an illegal copy in a sense. But I guess PMDG will honor your license as long as you did not get preowned box.

Your right...unbelieveable.

4X-SBR, seriously?

First, sign your name on your posts or on your signature. Second, why didn't you buy it direct from their website at PMDG, not Aerosoft? Third, have you tried installing SP1c like Stefan said? Fourth, calm down!

It is always interesting that so many armchair lawyers pop up once there is the smallest indication that something could be maybe wrong.

The op's question is answered allready, so why don't you leave the eventuall EULA vialations to PMDG? It isn't your problem, is it?

I would take a stab in the dark and say that if the above was purchased and it was still wrapped and brought from an online store then no it is not illegal

If it was opened and was of course already used then yes it is classed as resale and would need to be brought to PMDG's Attention!

If i go down to pc world i can buy the NGX and the 747 x in there of course these are new

There products are also on Play.com

Steve

Yea thats what i thought as long as the box is unopened you can do what you like with it, as jonathan has mentioned above leave it to the pmdg dev"s to decide whats illegal and legal

Yeah to true. PMDG might have other agreements that we don't understand so.

The whole trouble is, when someone says "ebay", we all imagine random people auctioning their old stuff.

Meanwhile ebay is legitimately used as a kind of aggregate webstore by many legit companies, selling new stuff, from some Hong-Kong electronics (USB car chargers for under a dollar, I like that) to, apparently, a German software vendor, adress and contact info and all.
