Nothing wrong with Ben, but with that management adding a 'typical love story for the women in their 20s' to it. I have yet to see a good Michael Bay movie I think

This statement troubles me as I wonder what it is about my psyche or what has happened in my personal development to permit an old fart like me to become so sappy.

And about the pics... shhhhhh... :Secret:

One thing foresure is the US men and women in service always seem to have a great time when they come to both Australia and New Zealand.

I sure did... and I know the guys I was with did. We'd tie up at Fremantle. I'm 99% certain I saw HMS Invincible there once and I think I have pics of that. Also one time I was there... really cool to see the America's Cup in Perth.

Thanks Great Ozzie for mentioning A Bridge Too Far...I am picking up the book tomorrow and going to see the film after (I prefer to read first as watching the movie ruins the book)

Excellent! And yes quite a (young) cast. Btw it's just "Rob"... the Great Ozzie just something I chose to pester a friend.

Also btw I have the theme song stuck in my head now (been whistling it this morning). Found a clip of it (the first minute is what I mean).

Bill, is it that one?

Yes, that's the same documentary but with subtitles. The YT version is of a lower resolution than the TV version, so if you can lay your hands on a DVD of it somewhere, you see the visuals much clearer. I found several links to a couple of places online that were showing the video, but they were older links, so I don't know if they are still good to use. I also found the usual conspiracy theory BS that equated the Naudet film to the JFK Zapruder film by saying that documentary was staged.

Very true on the low-res. Well, I was just surprised (again) about that YT storage house and what it hosts in full length.

LOL - But that is what those epic Hollywood films do. And then they turn them into a theme park ride. I've been on a few of those like Indiana Jones ride or Jurasic Park ride...etc.

Just as long as Disney doesn't make a Pearl Harbor Ride then all good.

I am going to see if our Library has a copy of that DVD later today, They have a very good AV Selection. I didn't get a chance to see it when it came out as I was living in the bush in Nova Scotia at the time. About time I saw that one too(and a Bridge Too Far).
