Hehe, nice. Dont worry ,it was just a joke. Though I would like to participate in the survey.>I attended a Flight Sim show on 19 June in Blackpool, England>and Microsoft were handing out cards inviting enthusiasts to>complete the online survey. I was able to access it then and I>can still access it today from the AvSim link.>>Unfortunately I have no idea why I can access it and you chaps>can't - sorry. BUT, the AvSim link is a valid one. It IS a>valid survey and yes, Microsoft DO CARE about European simmers>Georg.>>Cheers,

Eric,I did my best :-) I think it's very encouraging that Microsoft are actually asking those who take the product seriously how they want it to develop. Unles my memory is failing me this is the first time this has happened.Quite why they have limited it to Europeans I'm not sure. Maybe you guys will get your own survey soon and they can compare our priorities.Cheers,

I live in Finland but I also get the non valid ID message../KristerEFMA

Ray, same problem here and I'm in the UK. Best regards, Chris

Well, for what it's worth, after following the link from simflight a couple of days ago, I was able to complete the survey. I couldn't enter it this time, I suppose because they don't want to allow the same person to fill it out twice. I didn't enter anything in that first page; I assume the code behind that checks out cookies or a list of IP addresses to lock out earlier participants. The questions (several pages, I would guess 25 questions or so) were the ones you might expect (what planes do you fly most often, what areas do you fly in, what new airliner and what new GA plane would you like to see included, what do you like least about current FS, what improvements are you looking for) but also, interestingly, it appears they *may* be contemplating a different approach to the FS world : whole world covered (as now) or a limited area (continent?) covered in more detail.Perhaps I've been fooled, but it didn't look like a prankster's job to me. No viruses or malware found afterwards anyway.Best,Martijn

Krister and Chris,I went into the survey a second time and received the message 'Respondent ID is not valid as entered. Please begin again and re-enter your ID when prompted.'Because I had already completed the survey a few days ago I assumed this was teling me I couldn't complete it a second time. However, given that several Europeans are having problems accessing the survey it might be worthwhile pointing out to Microsoft that you can't complete it. It's not AvSim's responsibility as their link is a valid one.Write to Microsoft at the link posted on the survey - [email protected],

Yeah...Well I think that its definately a bad idea to cover only some continent. There's no need to make the scenery looking better by Microsoft, it can be nicely done by 3rd party developers. Systems and flight realism deserves consideration and also the weather effects etc. Maybe they should also correct the FS engine a bit to get out better framerates with slower PCs and even better FPS with better PCs. Such view like we see in LockOn or IL2 FB is nice, but not worth excluding a big part from the current FS world.

It's for Europeans only, maybe all the complainers are from other continents and the server is smart enough to not let them on :-lol

Jeroen,Have you read ALL the messages? Some are clearly from Europeans.

Georg,Europe is the first. Why do you assume that because Microsoft have regionalised the survey and chosen Europe first, other continents won't get their chance later on?I'm sure you'll get your chance to comment.

Yes, like myself!I'm from Innsbruck (INN, LOWI), Austria, Europe - and it does not work for me. Actually allready the second MS-Europe-Suvey about FS2006, which does not work for me.Maybe MS Ireland, who does the english speaking version for Europe will only allow people participate from the countries, they are looking after. That would mean that I could only partizipate in a survey launched by MS Germany -hmm? But my FS 2004 version is an english one!I'll have a couple of Guiness tonight - maybe it will work then. :-)Wolfgang

HiI'd like to start by apologising to anyone who has wasted time trying to fill in the European survey.I created this survey initially to get responses from United Kingdom and Ireland users. I attended the Flight Sim show in Blackpool to encourage users to complete the survey and one week after the show had 50 responses. The plan was to customize the survey based on these initial responses before releasing the survey to the entire European Flight Sim community. The greater than expected response rate created some technical problems when I attempted to change some questions. This problem should be fixed later today.I
