September 24, 201213 yr To Paul J and everyone that helped me on the Nvidea Inspector, It paid off. I still have some tweaking but I might just be getting closer. I opened up my drop box and made my first video for some time now. This one is a full DX10. Take a look and make a comment pro or con. Pro's make me smile! Cons make me stronger! The video was shot flying the New Waco YMF5 HD. This is a fun plane to fly but is a little hairy on take off if you don't have rudder pedals. When landing keep your speed @ 120kn until just about touch down, watch the IAS as I'm landing. It is a heavy plane. Now for the area that I flew and that was Southern California KLAX and the area around there and then back to the same runway that I took off from. Saouthern California has a whole lot of realestate for the video cards and processor to digeest. If your interested in the settings I have PM me and i will put the settings up that I run it on. I am very proud to be a part of Avsim and the great sim flyers that are here and for them to come! :LMAO: I might add; this same video was 45GB @ .AVI I then changed the video to Window Midia Video and that dropped down to 315KB!!! Here is the link. Enjoy!! Les https://dl.dropbox.c...031/WACO HD.wmv lh

I had uploaded the video again this AM. Copied the link and pasted it into the message. When I tick the url I get a path not found. Yet when I go to the drop box the video is there. Any Ideas? September 24, 201213 yr Ditto Les! Awesome video! I see some minor stuttering though and think you can get rid of it by opening up the limiter a few more digits. At one time I had my limiter set to 25 and got that slight stuttering until I opened it to unlimited and the stuttering went away. Best regards, Jim Hi Jim, Can you please tell me where I set the Limiter? The limiter that I am aware of is the FPS limiter in the FDX and the FPS LIMITER in the Inspector. Please tell me which one I adjust? FPS I have set for 30 in FSX. The rate limiter in Inspector is turned off. Please point me in the correct direction as I am still trying to learn this process and learn at the same time. Thanks for the help. Now, when you clicked on my link to the video did the video come on as it should? This has been a living night mare for me to get this video up and running! I have a huge question about the Dropbox? When a video is dragged to the public folder on my desktop and it then it is done uploading; how long dose it take before the video is on the Dropbox website? I have been flying in circles with my rudder jammed on this one!! Thanks Jim for your help Les lh
September 24, 201213 yr For normal Inspector setup, Les, so that we have vsync constantly corrected by Inspector - you need to set frames in FSX - to 30. In Inspector - Frame Rate Limiter is "Off", with Vertical Sync at 1/2 Refresh Rate and VSync Tear Control set to "Standard. Regarding the video upload, if I knew how to make a video, you would be the first one to know! Your link in post #20 works fine, Les. i7 [email protected] | 32GB RAM | EVGA RTX 3080Ti | Maximus Hero VII | 512GB 860 Pro | 512GB 850 Pro | 256GB 840 Pro | 2TB 860 QVO | 1TB 870 EVO | Seagate 3TB Cloud | EVGA 1000 GQ | Win10 Pro | EK Custom water cooling.

When a video is dragged to the public folder on my desktop and it then it is done uploading; how long dose it take before the video is on the Dropbox website? I have been flying in circles with my rudder jammed on this one!! Thanks Jim for your help Les Hi Les, Oh, the video was awesome and it came on almost instantly for me (I have a fast Internet connection). Regarding the limiter. The only one I use is the limiter in FSX (in the general tab). But you were flying over photo scenery (looked like SoCal MegaScenery) and it works best at unlimited. FTX/Orbx recommends unlimited for their scenery too. For SoCal MegaScenery, with unlimited FPS, I get between 40 and 70 fps. They say that you should take the lowest fps and subtract 5 and that's where the limiter should be set (or 35). However I'm up near 50-60 fps most of the time (just depends on the view). You definitely have to experiment with your own system. Setting the FSX limiter is the best option in my opinion but I really haven't tried the limiter in the Inspector. I really enjoyed the aircraft and the flyover of the LA area. Your aircraft was crisp and I saw no defect on the aircraft at all (by using DX10). But I think you can release more video memory to FSX when flying over photoreal areas. Paul is an expert at this stuff and I really don't have the time to experiment so his advice is really the most valuable. Best regards, Jim In regards to how long it takes for your video to upload to the Dropbox website, it should be telling you when the upload is completed. Paul uses the Dropbox where he has been uploading his pictures. As you can see in the following link - https://www.dropbox.com/help/38/en - Dropbox is finished uploading when you see a green checkbox down on the taskbar. Hope this helps. September 24, 201213 yr Author Great, Les! Nice movie - now - tell me how you made it! Blow by blow, what software, conversion, etc.. SOCAL LA is pretty heavy, too, eh? Thanks Hi Paul, I used no software conversion at for the flight. I went into my FSX.CFG first of all and made a huge change on my buffer pool to try it out and see what I would get? The "BufferPools=1 PoolSize=8388608 I changed that to BufferPools] USEPOOL=1 BufferPools=1 PoolSize=25165824 RejectThreshold=1572864 I then reset my FSX frame rate back to 30 This was the first thing I experimented on. The first Time I doubled the numbers and then flew the LAX area which as you have seen is a highly graphical area. Here are the settings I have in FSX. scenery complixity=MAX AUTOGEN=MAX NO GROUND SHADOWS ( CAUSES FLASHING ON BUILDINGS) TERRAIN LEVEL OF DETAIL=MAX MESH=80 MESH RESOLUTION=2M TEXURE RESOLUTION=2M WATER EFFECTS=LOW 2X LAND DETAIL=CHECKED DX10=CHECKED LES FLARE=OFF LIGHT BLOOM=OFF ADVANCED ANNIMATION=CHECKED FILTERING ANISOTROPIC=ON ANTI-ALLIAZING=CHECKED Now for the Inspector I played with that one and made some changes. The only way I know how to put a screen shot of the Inspector is to make a screen shot of it and then paste it into paint and save it as a .jpg file? Is this how you get your shots for the forum? Now for the software I usd FRAPS and set the video @ 30 fps. Turned the cursor off in the video. The videio editing software I used was "Movie Edit Pro 17 HD by Magix. You can save the project and export in all kinds of formats including you can produce a video with 3D effects and only your immagination would be your limitation. Also, you can upload it to YOUTUBE if you want. Now to make a video it takes a long time in cutting the video and getting the shots you want. The only thing missing is the Inspector layout. This also made a huge differnce with the out come of this video. You make me smile old buddie! Les lh

Hope you like the catchy title I gave it.... Best regards, Jim The Title looks great Jim and now I can put a few films up. I plan on making a short one of flying around Hawaii in photo Real from PC Aviators, this one was made for them and really did a good job. Oh by the way the video of California wasn't Photo Real, I made it straight from Stock. I will make a short one on Southern Cal photo Real and you then can see the difference. Sometimes I switch back and fourth just to get a change in Scenery. As far as the Waco I will be flying it and leave the heavys in the hanger for a while. Til I see ya on the tar mack, have a great flight and a safe landing! :LMAO: :Cuppa: Les For normal Inspector setup, Les, so that we have vsync constantly corrected by Inspector - you need to set frames in FSX - to 30.
