September 29, 201213 yr I got a BIG problem in FsX, always when I stop by using brakes or engage the park brakes the park brakes won't disengage :nea: . This started some time ago, I've seen this both on default and addon aircraft (PMDG NGX mostly). I uninstalled FSUIPC and no change.
September 29, 201213 yr As far as the PMDG NGX is concerned make sure your wheel chocks are removed. Matt Wilson
September 29, 201213 yr Author Yes, they are removed! I'm talking about EVERY single aircraft (default, freeware, payware...)

September 29, 201213 yr Well lets start off with the basic's and PLEASE do not get testy with me asking you these simple questions that YOU forgot to mention in your first post. 1). Do you have a JOYSTICK or a YOKE and if so who makes them? 2). Did you go to their website and download the latest set of drivers for them? 3). Did you try re-calibrating them in windows? Until you answer those 3 questions there is nothing anyone can help you with because that is IMPORTANT information to your problem. There are 15 different joysticks, 3 different yokes. So we need to know what you have so we can pinpoint your problem. Thank You. VATSIM 1068863 P1 rated
September 30, 201213 yr Do you use rudder pedals? I recall having to reverse the axis for brakes to get them to work properly. Do you use rudder pedals? I recall having to reverse the axis for brakes to get them to work properly.
September 30, 201213 yr I encounter this issue with Saitek's pedals. I should say the park brakes aren't always engaged...but there is always a little amount of braking force applied. There is no 'BRAKE' red box in the corner even with this force. I can visually confirm this with QWSim's RJ. The brake pressure gauges always show a little pressure. The only way I can fully release the brakes is by engaging the parking brake, then disengaging it using only the period key. The second I apply any brake with my pedals it goes back to having a bit of brake force always applied. I've played with all sorts of calibrations and axis reversals...never been able to solve it. Curiously, I never had this issue with my previous FSX PC...which used the exact same Saitek hardware. Patrick Houghton
September 30, 201213 yr Author Ok, I have no pedals, I have a saitek cyborg x, I will try calibration when I have the time.
September 30, 201213 yr For those of you that have the brakes slowing the plane down you need to go into your FSX setting under toe brake and turn down the NULL zone to 5% and turn the sensitivity down to 25%. There is a guide on saitek forums about this. I found the best solution is to purchase a registered copy of FSUIPC and let that control the brakes and rudders. Also if you have the Yoke and Throttles you can easily assign them. I have FSUIPC do the work and disabled FSX from controlling the brake rudders and yoke. Here is a YouTube video on the brake settings http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=ZR53H0X6qhk&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DZR53H0X6qhk VATSIM 1068863 P1 rated
September 30, 201213 yr check all your key assignments , it sounds like you have an axis turned on for it

October 13, 201213 yr Author sorry about my rudeness, I'm pretty angry because It makes my sim pretty much unflyable when I can't roll to the runway. And heah, it came back. yay. it was only a temporary fix. Can you please help me?
October 28, 201213 yr I have been using FSX ever since it began and have never had a problem with the brakes locked on. But today it started with all aircraft addon and defaults. I have tried many of the suggestion also but to no avail. I am going to purchase FSUIPC and try to assign the brakes to it and elimantae the assignments in FSX. Has anyone tried this?
