Multicrew, whats the latest?

Featured Replies

I don't personally want this. I kind of have my own SOP/Flow so I'd hate someone to ruin it. Never been a fan of FS2Crew since it takes half the fun away!

The 777 is flown by two pilots in rw. Therefore multicrew is more realistic than flying a 777 solo.

What's fun about having someone else do all the work for you whilst you fly for probably ten minutes manually in a ten hour flight? You don't want to do all the setup procedures etc? Takes the point out of flying on FSX for me..

I would love Multicrew. I don't see how people can ask for so much realism within the cockpit and not want a function like this developed. I would use when I can. I can't fly the Concorde because by the time I get it setup and do the other crews preps and checks I don't feel like flying it.

I bought FS2Crew for the MD-11 in a year or two back. I lost the installer a few OS installs back. It just isn't fun.

Why are captains so lazy?

Because the captain is someone who everyone dislikes, an egomaniac, and a PITA to fly with.

That's because it's button control?

The voice version for the NGX and J41 is alot of fun.

30 minutes pre flight is enough time for me, if I do the flight planning, weather, fuel, FMC etc and he does the overhead panel and safety tests, it gets me in the sky quicker, I don't want to be on the ground for an hour.

You can do the in-flight procedures all yourself and skip the F/O forward. He will still respond to control commands but you don't have to use him for every flow.

Well, I guess realism just isn't fun for some people, but that's what simulation is all about. FS2Crew brings FSX closer to simulation.

If you contracted a professional full motion simulator, you would not fly from the left seat alone. That is what FS2Crew brings to FSX.

It moves the bar from "game" closer to "simulator".

FS2Crew has nothing to do with multicrew. I'm talking about two people connected over the internet sharing the same panel. Not the fs2crew software.

Original comment edited as I really cannot be arsed arguing the toss about certain products which are said to 'enhance' ones FS experience...the beauty of FS is in the eye of each individual beholder...& because it would end up with the inevitable argument as usual.

Multicrew - as pointed out by the OP is about two people connected seamlessly to one panel & aircraft to perhaps maybe operate it as it would be in real life...that could even include exceeding 250kts below 10000ft on the odd occasion...imagine that?

Ahh, people usually call it "shared cockpit" or dual cockpit or multiplayer etc that's why we made a mistake, sorry for the confusion

The LSH fly the maddog 2010 has a 100% functioning multicrew feature that I've flown many times with other people while on vatsim, and coupled with real world checklists/flows its the best experience I've had on FS. If the pmdg were to include it like they've mentioned before a few times, it would be even better.

Exactly...gotta be better than the procedures & flows based upon nowhere airlines for sure.
