October 8, 201213 yr OK, clearly I have been missing out for a couple of years. I used to avoid the Eaglesoft Citation X because I thought it was the one my friend had, and it didn't look/feel that impressive. But as I was looking for a nice business jet to fill my hangar, I found out that that was the Wilco version. So I ended up with the Eaglesoft Citation X rendition... Beautiful jet, great systems simulation. Even though it's dated by current VC standards, it's still quite decent. Here are some shots of my first flight, from Amsterdam to Zurich. Despite it's systems depth, I decided to just jump in and go without checking the manual. Ended up pretty well. Some minor niggles with the FMC, but I'll work that out soon enough. 1. Taxi out from the GA/Jetcenter platform at Schiphol East 2. Long way to runway 09, let's say hello to some KLM guys 3. After departure, turn to the right to follow the SID 4. I'm not the biggest fan of photo scenery, but sometimes it just looks right 5. We're getting some warmer light tones as the sun is slowly setting 6. TRAFFIC, TRAFFIC.... 7. Useless FSX ATC. 8. Established on the ILS for runway 28, manual approach 9. It's a bit low-vis in Zurich according to AS2012 10. And safely on the ground. Enjoy!
