Hi Alex, My guess (as good as anybody else's) is the problem is in the simprop.dll. I googled simprop.dll and found some interesting results. The first one is from answers.microsoft.com. Seven people found it usefull. If so, perhaps you could you try uninstalling that to see if it helps? I can send you a copy of my simprop.dll if you like. Are you using Windows 7? If so, try the reliability monitor.

Really nice pics there, UKflyer. Is that all default scenery? You know how they say, a picture tells a thousand words. Better post a few pics than write a daily essay on how great X-Plane is. :wink:

Then perhaps you can blame Gizmo again, because it's currently corrected to "make a backup copy of Rainl40.fx" in the PDF. It should be "rain40.fx". :smile: But I'm feeling guilty for nitpicking, Paul. It's really irrelevant. You won't believe how happy I am with the rain "umbrella" being fixed now. Great post, Paul. Thanks for compiling these DX10 fixes. I didn't have the rain fix yet. Just applied it and it works a charm. No more "umbrella" effect for me. Thanks very much. Speaking of which... in your PDF from post #8 in this thread under the "Rain Fix:" part, there's a tiny typo. It says "and make a backup copy of Rail40.fx" but it obviously should be Rain40.fx. The sentence below it has it written correctly. No biggie really but might confuse some people. Can't check the .doc version as I don't have Office installed on this laptop. Nevertheless, kudos to you for your hard work, sir.

The OP in the thread I linked to in my previous post said the golf course isn't there. But in that same thread OE-LAT claims it is there. I can't tell really, as I don't have Orbx PNW myself.

Thanks for pointing that out, OE-LAT. I don't have Orbx myself. Would you mind taking a screenshot so I can compare it to default FSX scenery? I'm very much interested in purchasing Orbx PNW. I think the OP might be talking about the strip (Burden Field Airport) further south of the golf course. If you take of heading east, the golf course it left of it.
