I have Firefox and IE8 and find that Firefox is definitely slower.

For me, Firefox is significantly faster than IE8.

Do you regularly clear your cache? A big, overfilled cache can cause slowdowns with any browser.

I use Firefox only for viewing my webmail (and now Avsim ^_^ ) so I clear all cookies and the cache before using it.

Something strange is happening in the last couple days. Whenever I log into the Avsim forms (any forum it doesn't matter), I no longer see the Titles people have given their threads in the menu. Therfore I have to actually click on each specific thread to see what it is about. All the other info is there such as the person who started it, when, replies etc, just not the most important part, the topic title.

 

Maybe I accidently changed one of my settings somehow? I really don't know? However when I use these forums with my iPad the topic titles are indeed showing, so it seems like it's something with this computer. Also I don't have any issues with 10 other forums I belong to, so the problem is unique to this website on this computer.

 

Anybody know why the topic titles are not showing for me?

There are a number of posts in the Hangar forum discussing this.

Something strange has happened, no matter which section of the forums I visit, I am unable to see the topic title, I can only see the name of the person who posted. I have tried resetting the custom filters to show topic but it does not change. If I click on 'show more topics' I can see the ones added.
