October 25, 201213 yr I installed this beta update on my i7-3770 with an AMD 7570 card and it works great, no problems whatsoever, and the motion in FSX is really fluid. OS is Win 7 64. Lose not thine airspeed, lest the ground rise up and smite thee.
October 26, 201213 yr Whatever, no use in arguing about this. The HD 5770 is the last AMD card I'm buying. Out of mega interest, is the HD5770 listed in the Compatible Vendor List of your motherboard? I have seen a few cases in the past where the QVL listing only specifies specific models of graphics card from various makes, but it is rare, yet still possible... If there are listings and yours isnt one of them, then this would suggest an incompatability, but if nothing mentioned at all, then it sounds more like a faulty card.. I'd put the card into another machine and see if its possible to replicate the fault. That would be my first thought before writing off an entire brand.. Richard... October 26, 201213 yr There's no compatibility list for my motherboard. But, I've seen the same motherboard and graphics card working together without any problems, except for driver ones. I'm sure it's the drivers. atikmdag.sys is a BSOD related to the drivers, plus I've got tons of game compatibility and video playback issues with some drivers I've updated to. Can't try it on another PC, since my old one has an AGP motherboard. Even if the drivers get better, I'd still want NVIDIA for better FSX performance, AA options and PhysX, so I'm really done with AMD.

October 28, 201213 yr Heads up to the 7000 series ATI users that are using the new driver. I was able to uninstall the Shader 3.0 mod and no drop in frame-rates. Your milage may vary but worth a try. The shader 3.0 mod made my water look strange but now my water looks spectacular. Tim Curtis MSFS2020, i7-9900k 5.0Ghz, 32GB Ram, Nvidia 3080, 48" LG OLED CX
