I wish St Thomas Looks Like This Some day in FSX

Featured Replies

I would like some day the island i lived on would look a little bit like the real thing. So far i have the original airport by TropicalSim. It look great combine with Experience X Night Light. The only thing that is missing a little work on the Scenery like the Charlotte Amalie Harbor where the Sea planes lands. Is not a big island but very beautiful an would look great with a little help in FSX. Take a look

I agree. Your picture is beautiful and rekindled some old memories of my last time in St. Thomas some years ago. Has the Havensite mall been repaired from the last hurricane? I enjoyed walking around in it. I also enjoyed diving in Trunk Bay. You're a lucky fellow to be surrounded by such beauty.

Who knows, your picture might be an inspiration to a scenery designer.

Thank you.

Thanks Rick an yes the Havensite mall is brand new . They build several restaurant in Havensite. They are making the island more enjoyable for tourist that visit the island every year. Now this winter is busy season for us because lots of tourist come from Europe an North America trying to get away from the cold area in the united states. I love what REXE does with the Dawn an Sunset here in St Thomas . I just hope someday it would look kind of like in the picture.. Also we had a terrible Air Crash one friend of mines died :( now that i came to remember it again .

yep, not even close, LOL.

great original image and probably doable in the sim. the photoreal coverage isn't to bad for the island which means that you could easily make a night texture for the photoreal that comes close to matching the image. Then do some custom buildings and cruise ships with matching night textures.

Best, Michael

Yup yup it would be kool to see the harbor filed with those little boats that normally be around the cruise ship areas. :)

The party lights on the cruise ships at night are awesome!

In FSX, would (could) these lights reflect in the water?

I can't remember if it can reflect using Experience X Night Light .

I took a cruise ship there two years ago and rented a c172 and flew all the virgin islands. Great scenery rw-but still feel FSX does scenery/ bolts and rivets on exterior model much better than the cockpit which IMHO should have te priority.

Thanks for sharing that information maybe some scenery developers would suggest working on the scenery of this beautiful island.

Ok...... Been there.. Done it...Think the scenery/ rivets relatively is better than other aspects ..I'll hunt some picassa photos tomorrow if you wish.

Which runway-the only one-not sure about your question?

http://www.airnav.com/airport/TIST. 10 was the one.beautiful over the ocean approach-but recall having to dodge something downwind...
