October 29, 201213 yr Hi,I have been flying the J41 for a week or two,it is a great product though think I'm going to need FS2crew to help me along,one or two minor problems are the spoilers have never deployed even though the spoiler green light comes on on the flightdeck,the secondary(standby) alt only reads thousands the other three figures remain on zero.I downloaded the service pack for the J41 but on installation it said it was already installed,is it worth installing anyway?I think there may be a thread for the spoiler problem but I can only find one for spoiler not retracting,any help appreciated, Thanks
October 29, 201213 yr Re the spoilers, you do realize that there are no "in flight" spoilers on the aircraft, yes? The spoilers only deploy on touchdown. Hans Soule

It's designed that way. is it worth installing anyway If you have bought the J41 in the last few years, she is up to date. That's why it's saying that it is already installed. October 30, 201213 yr Author Hi Guys,thanks for the replies,sorry I didn't make it very clear regarding the spoilers,I appreciate they only deploy on landing but that's the problem,they don't,the green light indicating they have deployed on the panel comes on but the spoilers don't deploy,I wasn't sure if it was a problem addressed by the service pack,I only bought the DVD version of J41 two weeks ago so it obviously has the service pack installed,the only reason I asked is I only bought FSX four weeks ago and had to install both the service packs,I thought it would have both service packs installed as it was such a recent purchase but no,it wasn't,only realised i needed them when I tried installing the J41 and was a message came up that it wouldn't install as the version of FSX was not the latest.
October 30, 201213 yr Boy did I do that too, getting the DVD recently does seldom include updates. They send out NOS so they dont bother making new DVD's
October 30, 201213 yr Have you assigned the spoilers in FS to an axis on any of your controllers? Are you using FS UIPC to handle your control axis?
