November 7, 201213 yr Will it be ok to assign axes to the T7 trough fuispc or could there be problems like with the ngx? Thanks, David David
November 8, 201213 yr Why cant FSUIPC axis be assigned for the NGX? I dont seem to have any problems...? Adrian Burley London, UK
November 8, 201213 yr Why cant FSUIPC axis be assigned for the NGX? I dont seem to have any problems...? I've never had issues, either, though the NGX Introduction manual says specifically not to. Do so at your own "risk". ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
November 8, 201213 yr Author I had an issue with the 6/700 series where if I had the elevator assigned trough fuispc it would not climb in vnav with the autopilot on. It took me months to figure it out and when I assigned the axes trough fs the problem disappeared. David David
November 9, 201213 yr I followed AOA's NGX flight trainings part about controllers, they strongly adviced to not install the original drivers for Saitek Pro yoke/throttle/pedals, then delete all mappings in FSX to any button or axis, then set it all up in FSUIPC. I did, the controls have been silky smooth since, never lost a beat.
November 9, 201213 yr What are the benefits to assigning axis through FSUIPC though, the only thing i have assigned through fsuipc is my spilt throttles on my hotas warthog and a reverse axis but have no problems. November 9, 201213 yr What are the benefits to assigning axis through FSUIPC though, the only thing i have assigned through fsuipc is my spilt throttles on my hotas warthog and a reverse axis but have no problems. Eliminates throttle spikes, easier/faster to set up, more precise calibration in some cases, and much more complex assignments are available. ___________________________________________________________________________________ Zachary Waddell -- Caravan Driver -- Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/zwaddell Avsim ToS Avsim Screenshot Rules
November 9, 201213 yr I had experienced an issue with the NGX where when I set my throttles through FSUIPC the throttle would always override the AT. After deleting the FSUIPC.ini and assigning through FSX all was fine. Gavin Price
November 9, 201213 yr I had experienced an issue with the NGX where when I set my throttles through FSUIPC the throttle would always override the AT. After deleting the FSUIPC.ini and assigning through FSX all was fine. I had the same, blamed it on FSUIPC, until I rechecked the mappings in FSX, and yes, the throttle axis' was mapped again in FSX withtout me doing anything... Now I check periodically.
December 8, 201213 yr I use FSUIPIC with the NGX, MD11 and 747 Without any problems. Just be sure you dont have any axis assigned in both FSX and FSUIPC or they will conflict. Best way to prevent this is just delete all axis assigned in FSX first then assign them one at a time in FSUIPIC. It also helps to go into Fsuipc before each pushback and move a couple levers on your throttle. Not sure why but every time I start FSX throttle lever 3 gets changed to 4 for whatever reason. But once i go into fsuipc and reassign it back to 3 everything is nice and smooth rest of flight. So best to make it a habit of going into FSUIP and checking things before each flight. Paul Deemer
December 9, 201213 yr I stopped using FUISPC the day I bought it, it immediately messed up some things in my NGX. I bought it mainly for the autosave, no worries I'll just save manually.. - Luke Pabari

December 9, 201213 yr Thank god for the free version? Considering the amount of money I've now wasted on FS9 products that don't get touched, $30 was a small dent! - Luke Pabari
