November 16, 201213 yr the Eye of Sauron :LMAO: Guess I'm a pretty lucky husband. My wife doesn't want me to fly in real life (she believes it's dangerous ... sheesh), so she's more than willing to allow me to spend whatever I want on software--or hardware, for that matter--as long as I'm "flying" in the basement. No separate bank accounts....... No arguments ........ No problems. Isn't being married about being a family and sharing your life? ...... if you need to keep 'separate' things, the problem is with the relationship and trust, not the money itself. We have a joint account that both salaries go into, all bills come out of, and with the disposable money that's left, we both just show some consideration, fairness and common sense ................ and never have any problems. I agree with this 100%. My wife and I have been married for 20 years, happily I might add, and we do not have separate accounts. We have just one, into which our pay goes and out of which all of our bills are paid. In those 20 years, we've never argued about money. November 16, 201213 yr Commercial Member a famif you need to keep 'separate' things, the problem is with the relationship and trust, not the money itself. That is way too much of a general statement. We have a joint bank account for bills etc and a seperate account for ourselves, although I am a bit old fashioned and like to pay the majority with bills. It has nothing to do with trust or the relationship. I enjoy surprising her with holiday's and gifts & vice versa, how does that work for those that live in each others pockets? My partner is free to spend as much as she want's as long as she doesn't come crying about the credit card bill later, same goes for me. If we want to combine our funds for something a bit extravagant then we both discuss it. each to their own Rob Prest

November 16, 201213 yr Luckily my wife is addicted to her horses so she doesn't have a lot to complain about when it comes to my cheap hobby. Our backyard could fit a single horse but there would be no room left for the patio furniture...... Have to think of something else to give my wife. She wants a pool, which should equal a lot of payware for FSX......
November 16, 201213 yr lololol... I wish developers would make more freeware. Like sunskyjet. HUGELY popular!!! I think the one and only thing that will get FSX really on fire now, is the PMDG 777
November 18, 201213 yr An update to this topic--I caved in and bought more payware, this time the Carenado 337. The good news is the 337 is the only aircraft I had left on my wish list, unless Carenado ever releases a piston Malibu or a P210..... Regards, Husband in payware doghouse Edit: Screenshots of my latest purchase here: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/391513-carenado-337-over-connecticut-countryside/
