would the staff ever consider to open a 'Dating/Marrying a simmer' sub-forum here at AVSIM? :D.

As long as you don't have to pay for it as said simmers with a need to use the service will have just spunked a load of money on the latest KarenDado SuperExtra B3576 (complete with real airsickness bags) and MassiveTarmac Doesn'tWorkInDX10 International Airport :P

Oh Yea? Today my wife spent $145 on a hair appointment with coloring! All to look good for Thanksgiving, for which she's spending even more $$$$$ !!

Tomorrow I'm snatching RXP's WAAS GNS Unlimited Pack. It's only $99 !!!!! Thanksgiving (and my wife's hair color) will come and go quickly. I expect the RXP enhancement will thrill me for years!

Note: She thinks if she's going to thrill me for years to come that she has to repeat today's appointment every 45 days!

John,

my wife put me on flightsim probation since 1998 I have never left that status.........

You're not alone, just keep reassuring her that in case of a real emergancy you'll be able to land that plane, IF you stay current with the most comprehensive and complex add-ons!!!!

Cheers,

Pete

Can you say "Macy's?" Love my bride of 28 years but she can match me... charge for charge.... And we are both OK with that... Now cracking the safe for the new computer? Well a different story... I won on principal and had to quit smoking to buy it... Almost paid off by now... "I owe I owe so off to work I go"

No, they just try not to get caught!

I spend money when I wish, responsibly of course. My wife spends money when she wishes, responsibly of course.

I pay the bills and let her know how much excess income we have to spend. Then we spend it together.

Oh man alive... Some of you guys really need to get new wives!

Be your own person first, husband second...

If you can't build on who you are and have your own life, how you going to interact with hers!

Both of you chip in fair towards household costs and the rest is your to do as you please with.

Any man that has to ask permission to spend his own money, needs to start saving for a new spine... PMSL

10 years married and never 1 argument or disagreement about money...

We don't give a damn what the other has left to spare, once the bills are covered...

Did you know most marriages fail because of arguments about money? Do yourself a favor and install a circuit breaker!

Set up a joint account. Calculate all your living expenses & how much you agree to save and split the total pro rata according to how much each of you earn. This amount is then automatically transferred each pay. If there is anything left over, it's yours. No more arguments about money. The wife doesn't care if I spend money on flight sim and I don't get upset if she buys a new pair of shoes. It's my money, or it's hers, because everything else has already been covered.

There is no excuse not to do this!

Cheers,

Noel.

I agree with that 100%. My wife and i each have our own account where our payroll goes and one joint account we use to pay bills from. As long as we each put in the same amount to cover the expenses there is never any argument about who is spending money on what. It's nice to know that I dont need to hide or conceal any of my purchases or feel bad that I am spending money on things that she thinks is stupid or vice versa.

The only problem is not all wives are like this. The majority of married folks I know keep one joint account and then the arguments creep in about who is spending most of the money and on what. I played that game once and will never do that again, especially when I was the saver in that relationship and the lady was spending it as fast as I could make it.

I did a similar thing before I moved to Norway. I had a job and I spent my money on computer stuff addons for FSX. I had to buy the latest and the newest for FSX. I regret that because I could have saved that money for flying school which I didn't so now I am saving money as much as I can.

So there is no confusion I am 18 and that happend two years ago and I'm planning to a flying school but wasn't thinking into the future.

Separate bank accounts... One joint account for bills... Fair share between both to bills account to cover them all... Do as you please with YOUR money as long as all bills are fairly shared and paid off... 21 years and counting...

Luckily my wife is addicted to her horses so she doesn't have a lot to complain about when it comes to my cheap hobby.

Totally agree, once bills are paid you should be able to do what you wan't. I could never imagine a partner trying to tell me how to spend my money.
