Anyone else getting massive stutters from LatinVFR's KMIA? I have their v1.1, removed static aircraft, and still my framerate jumps from 25-30 down to 5-8 every few seconds. This not only happens when at the airport, but even in the general area. On approach when I'm over Tampa Bay even, the stuttering starts. Or right now at FSDT KFLL, I am still stuttering. This happens in no other area. Anyone else getting this?

This is by far the worst performing airport of my addon sceneries, but I don't have the performance problem until I get close to the airport. If you're getting stutters from many miles away, than I think you may have another problem involved. The developer has stated he will provide an update to fix the performance problems, but he won't do it until after his KSAN airport release. In my opinion, that's bad business...they should fix their already released airport(s) first. KMIA is the only airport of my addon sceneries that I never use. It's a waste of money and I regret buying it.

I have this problem only at MIA, at no other heavy scenery like JFK or LHR or LAX or anything. It's when I come in the large radius where MIA is loaded, around 50 miles away

Ricardo from Latin VFR said they are working on an update that will address this and have other improvements. With my fast system I only get 9 to 12 FPS using my NGX. They will release KSAN first, which should be soon.

I don't get the stutters but I can definitely see the framerates taking a hit, as I fly closer to the airport. In all fairness, I also have installed the Miami 2012 addon, which adds a ton of buildings throughout the Miami-Dade County area.

 

I also posted on their website asking if they will also be patching their airport for DX-10, as I'm now pretty much flying in DX-10 mode exclusively and the runway lights appear as white squares.

I have KIMA and I great computer and I get great performance everywhere except with Miami, even when I turn off AI, WX and lower AG I still get horrid frame rates. It's uninstalled and I'll never be buy anything from them until it get's fixed.

Well it's good to hear someone is doing a quality KSAN... but I agree. They need to fix MIA first. My framerates are good but the few second drop and stutters are unbearable.

Thanks for this thread. I was about to purchase from them, but I will hold off if so many people have been having problems.
