I keep wondering when somebody will get blown off into the sunset like Mary Poppins.

Or when somebody is going to have an embarrassing "wardrobe malfunction" (note kid falling flat on his face)

Why does this remind me of the scene in Close Encounters when the true believers are waiting on the UFOs and the army helicopters arrive?

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I kept watching for the wardrobe malfunction but didn't see it :Nerd:

After watching mythbusters and seeing a cab get blown away by jet exhaust, I am not sure I would take the risk of standing behind one of these. It's amazing nobody seems to have been hurt, yet!

The other thing about it is they are breathing in jet fumes directly, there is nothing good about breathing that stuff in.

Haha I've been there when there were some topless spotters and let me say when the bits and pieces start flapping it is not a pretty picture.

Yup! That's what I was afraid of.

But wasn't that plane a bit........ close, to the fence?

That would be a lawsuit here in the US, and that area would be closed in about 3 seconds.

I haven't done the research, but I can't imagine it's any worse than working at a petrol (gas) pump. Most of what comes out of a jet engine is carbon dioxide and water vapour. There are also small amounts of soot, carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbons (fuel fumes basically), but the engine is optimised to produce as little of that as possible, as it's just a waste of fuel. The exhaust is also mixed in with a large helping of bypass air, which is just air, and of course it's not an enclosed space either. Breathing it in all day, every day for 40 years might not be the healthiest of lifestyles, but I don't think a once-in-your-lifetime 5 minute fence ride is going to do your health much damage (at least from breathing in the fumes ;) ).
