Helsinki Orthoscenery

Featured Replies

This is probably old news, but I just had a chance to try this out today and I really like it. Truscenery has released a free orthoscenery file and OSM for Finland which combined with their EFHV airport scenery, really looks great IMO. You dont have to own the scenery to use the Othoscenery or OSM stuff. Get it here: http://truscenery.wordpress.com/2012/11/13/truscenery-presents-helsinki-orthoscenery/

Thanks for the link Comanche;

I thought that my 2 year old computer (still using dd2 800mhz mem, with a phenom II 4 core) would not be able to handle it. Well I was wrong, can't believe how good of a performance I got with this scenery. So I decided to post a couple of pics too.

Oooppss, sorry for the duplicate pic...lol

This is why I like XP so much, even with a low end computer (by today standards), I can still get very descent performance.

how is that with some real clouds turned on? I can get decent FPS also in FSX with hardly any clouds. too bad they turned down the cloud quality since the first version 10 to this gray mushy something that we have now in the FINAL release. the worse clouds of any of the current 4 flight simulators.

Who said this was the FINAL release? 64 bit only just came out. XP9 went through several versions until it was final at 9.70.

Before making uninformed statements, make sure you do your homework first.

Clouds are set to 60%. I do have a good video card though (check out pc specs).

With my pc specs I could never get FSX to perform as fluid as XPX and this is one of the reasons (and the blurries) I decided to switch.
