November 20, 201213 yr --- I believe I have reached the pinnacle of the NGX's Extazy. Yes, the PMDG 737 is a beautiful and marvelous aircraft, but surely enough there comes a time when the romance seem to have reached it's max. This does not mean I do NOT like it anymore. No.. What I mean is with every add-on- whether it be an a/c or scenery-, there comes a time in simming, that you want to see something new or even better. And this "romance" is very well different for everyone. Some might take a year or two; and for others it may take several years. (be advised that this is only my personal opinion) ---- Personally, I'm eager to have an advanced Airbus within FSX (PMDG quality add-ons type or better.) However, it sure takes a long time to develop a good add-on...However, I am thinking this is not due to lack of knowledge, but more due to the fact that these developers (most, not all) work on these projects as part-time. That's why they take years (I mean years), instead of 1-2 years or less. So, do not be confused, when a developer tells you it will take 3-7 years to develop one of these add-on, it's very likely (98.9%), they are doing it part time- part time as in a couple of hours a week. We are eagerly waiting on PMDG 777, Aerosoft Airbus A320 Extended Version, and FSL A-320 Airbus. I'm not too nervous about PMDG's or FSL, but at Aerosoft's Airbus...I am starting to lose hopes. I hope-and I really hope-, it's just me !!! ---- Generally, I think the future is bright; but for the sun to fully rise and shine on us all, it will take some time, and we will have to cope with some bad weather, as those rays start to surface.
November 21, 201213 yr I still fly the PMDG 747X from the day it was first released for FS9. Can't wait until V2 comes out next year hopefully

November 27, 201213 yr If you're an airliner fan, it certainly is hard to 'get excited about anything else' once you've flown the NGX inside out. For me, I alternate between the NGX, MD-11, and JS41, they are all I can fly now, tubeliner wise, anything else just no longer measures up. But between the NGX (short haul), the JS41 (commuter) and the MD-11 (Cargo/Long-haul) there is a whole world of variety, and no real need to fly anything else ... for me at least. I love Airbus but I bought the BBS A320 Prologue, and well, let;s just say it's far from mature!... I have the feelThere Airbus and they fly pretty well (by hand and FCU) but really show their age in terms of visuals and sound. So for now..... it's PMDG all the way.
November 27, 201213 yr The NGX is all I fly because I absolutely love everything about it. It also helps that normally I only get 2/3 hours at a time to fly so I always fly short European routes. When the FSLA320 comes along I will have everything I can imagine me wanting. Sure I'd like to learn things like the JetStream etc but I can't imagine truly longing for anything when I have a great 737 and A320 as it fits perfectly with the type of flights I like to simulate. Having said that, thanks to you guys, I am also adding the MD11 to my wish list as its realistic to fly on short hope with cargo carriers.
November 27, 201213 yr I mean there is no question that the NGX is a brilliant simulation of the 737. The problem with me is that I do not like small a/c much. But I do like the MD-11, 777, A-330, 747-400, 767, and most of all the A-340-600. --- We keep waiting on Aerosoft's Airbus 320 Extended, but I guess at this point I'd rather say no comments as it can get nasty. --- FSL: We hope they bring an excellent A-320, A-330, and A-340 (This will be a dream for aviation simulation)
