December 2, 201213 yr Glad I'm not the only one who has an ear for sounds, specifically engine noises. My favorite sound is standing outside near a jet during start up hearing the very distinct whining, then the roar as fuel is introduced. Not a 777 but one of my fav videos with these sounds  Sincerely, Chase My 2017 Build: Liquid Cooled i7 7700K CPU idle @ 4.2GHz | MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X 8G | 16GB's DDR4 4000 RAM | ASUS 27" 144hz Gaming Monitor | MSI Z270 M7 Motherboard | Windows 10 | Samsung 960 EVO M.2 500GB SSD
December 3, 201213 yr That sounds very much like a jetranger starting up, used to use them a lot on the island runs for work, and no your not the only one who is particular about sounds, drives me nuts if the sounds are not right especially engine sounds jeff jeff atkinson
December 31, 201213 yr Commercial Member Just keep in mind here guys that cabin sound does not = cockpit sound. The location you're hearing the engine from plays a huge role in what the engine sounds like. There's a very narrow location band that's centered right around where the person filming this video is sitting where you actually hear that whine and growl type effect. Further up toward the cockpit it's not going to be as pronounced. You also have all the high frequency pack and trim air noise, avionics cooling fans etc masking the engine sound. Just don't be surprised when what's in the product doesn't sound like passenger videos on youtube - we have actual cockpit recordings and we're using those to create the soundset. Yeah so true, people are going to need to remember this too when they say "The start up is too low in volume". The packs are fairly loud in the 777's flight deck from what I've heard and experienced. - Luke Pabari

I completely agree with you. My main point is that the cabin sounds should look really close to this. I have been in a 777 cockpit and the sound looks mostly like this one. Maybe i did not notice the other ones.
January 1, 201313 yr My favorite engine sound still have to be the moment the ecs throws (at around 33% N2) the fuel into the GE90-115BL engines and the deep rumble really starts.. René Pedersen
January 2, 201313 yr i love the sound and was booking a flight from lax-lhr and i selected the 777-300er on an earlier flight to fly in this baby and now they changed the aircraft to the b747 :( best regards, Michael K N I T T L PC Specs: i7950@4ghz, ASUS PTV2 Deluxe, nVidia GTX580, 12GB DD3 1600 Corsair Controls: Saitek Yoke & Rudder Pedals, TackIR5
