I've taken a fine paintbrush to the VC nightlighting textures and now have the airspeed needle, the HSI course needle, and the GPS frames showing up nicely.. They were all in the dark before

 

I'm sure there is more that could be done, but this at least makes it usable..

Im getting old, but I cant see any difference between them other than the last one has it's altimeter obstructed by the yoke.?

That’s great work on the 210 panels, especially on the GPS units.

 

I did do a version myself but you have got the GPS units looking a lot better than my attempt.

Ah sorry, I didnt realize that I had to click the pics to see the whole thing. I can see the buttons etc on the gps unit is more visible now. Good work!

How did you do that?

 

And what it is about Carenado that they can't get the gauge needles lit correctly at night? The C337 Skymaster has a similar problem.

What about instructions on how to fix that. I also have a carenado Skymaster and the C340 which have the same issue. It will be nice to have them all needles on the gauges more visible.

As to other airplanes.. you'll have to look at the texture files and touch them up...

at least that is what I did for the C210 and the C337.

(Not crazy about the default VC night light at all, they are to bright, the Whole Cabi is to bright, no way to dim it, I'm trying to turn Panel off & the interior on, but yuk, the Interior lights are good only at the back ..(-:

I'm the old/new "kid on the block" - just registered.  I bought the Carenado C-210 about a year ago and have looked for updates/fixes for the Carenado on their website but found zero help -- but now I have hope since finding this helpful forum.  I would dearly love to try your VC light remedy. Please send a copy to .  Much obliged!

 

Also you may have noticed with head lights switched on there appear 4 lights, the normal two and the abnormal two lights displaced about 6 feet.... in the tower view this is annoyingly obvious. None of the default airplanes do this. Is there a fix for this?

 

In the RW I have over 400 hrs in a turbo 210 and love every minute flying it. FL200 and above no sweat with the TSIO 550 cranking out 310HP. Also found the 210 to be a very stable IFR platform. But it requires careful monitoring of throttle (manifold pressure), prop (RPM) and mixture (fuel flow). Carenado mostly failed to understand this correlation between this three inputs. I wish they had asked for some RW pilot input on engine management. Oh well ..!!! Sure would love to massage those aircraft config files to closer emulate RW engine management ....
