When will the downloadable course be available at other flight sim stores that many of us are already used to dealing with?

I didn't mess with the air file yet because I did not want to make changes that might affect the way the AC's engine responds. Don't know enough about this file yet and what it does. And yes I always back up everything before making changes. It only take one mistake to learn that lesson real fast. :rolleyes: If you do find a number that does work please be kind enough to post it here. The fact that you haven't yet found a number that work's might be why Carenado didn't fix it in their last update, they didn't find it either. I might even sent them an email and see what they say about it. They have always tried to help me in the past. To fix the paint on the gauge I only somewhat figured it out. I noticed that Bert P always has these great fixes, just got the night lighting fix from him the other day, and wanted to see how he does it. I downloaded a free program called DXTBmp and dragged a copy of the gauges texture .bmp to it. There are two, day and night, in this case Gauges_200.bmp for day and Gauges_200_night.bmp. Once the program opened the file I double-clicked on it and it sends it to your favorite paint program. In there I lassoed the left side of the green mark on the gauge, copied it, moved it to the right side and reversed it. My problem came into play when I saved it in the paint program, it came up as in a temp file somewhere along with the Alpha channel but I didn't know where it was. So I just did a save as, and it works in the AC but didn't save the alpha channel which will probably give me trouble down the road in different light situations. I am going to play with it today to figure out how to save it correctly and with what settings to use. Just like most things in FSX, it takes awhile to figure them out. The best thing is the flight sim forums have a load of info in them on all subjects, answered by some very smart folks. You just need to take the time to search for them or as in this case post a question. Sorry not a full answer on how to do it but it might give you a start. I used the freeware Paint.net program btw.

Hi, My first question is if I am doing something wrong with my flight settings to cause the oil pressure to be above the green safe area? I can get everything else in the green. If it's not my piloting in error.... I just download an air file editor(AAMV22) and am looking inside the file for the first time. I located the gauge or "544(REC)Engine Oil Pressure" section but am not sure what edit to make to get the needle to be in the green during normal operation. There are three subsections: (DBL)Oil Pressure Scale Factor, 1 (DBL)Oil Pressure Limit *144 (psi), 8640 (DBL)Oil Pressure Rate of Change, 0.8 I found this info in the SDK: ;Oil Pressure TOKEN_BEGIN AIR_61S_OIL_PRESSURE REAL8 1.000000 ; Oil pressure tuning constant REAL8 10800.000000 ; Oil pressure max (PSF) REAL8 0.800000 ; Oil pressure tc TOKEN_END but it looks like this is going to be a steep learning curve at this point in my initial discovery of this new subject. Any help you can send my way would be much appreciated.

That is excellent, I already did this to my default _295 and _500 and also included the radar option, a big improvement to the looks and it also makes flying low and slow a bit easier. This was something that I really did miss when flying the c337. You will definitely get a pm from me. A big thank you from a simmer with very limited code writing skills. I would have been bored of FSX along time ago if it wasn't for all the developers out there that not only create all these fix's, mod's and addons but also take the time to share with them with others.Thank you,Brett

There are images in the RWD file but there is a bug somewhere that keeps it from working. My guess is the trigger around the tower, you are supposed to fly close to it, I believe.

I could be wrong but I thought that those labels are airport labels that can be set to be shown in the FSX settings section. I have never seen them in a mission nor seen the mentioned as an action or effect in the SDK. POI's can be shown using a mission pointer and mission pillar or other similar scenery object in missions. In conjunction with the aforementioned items, dialogs and nav info can also be used to describe the area of interest. Mission making is not a simple thing to do and you will need to puzzle together all available information from forums and the Microsoft SDK that comes with the deluxe version of FSX or Acceleration. A google search will give you a list of sites that deal with making missions.

bliksimpie,I did catch that and have already made the fix, worked great, thanks. I have also added two of Bert's xml fixes for the A/P, a big thanks for them also. I have been in the process of learning how to make missions and am a little familiar with changing things in the aircraft and panel CFG files. There is alot to learn and the information is spread out among many, many forum posts. Sometimes it can be tough to find the exact information required due to the same keywords being used over a broad spectrum of questions. So thanks for your patience.I still do have the same problem as Paul as far as the hand cursor not bringing up the GPS window, except I am using the original CAR530. Any information along these lines will be greedily accepted.Paul, If you feel that I am hijacking your thread, just let me know and I will open up a new topic. I might be mistaken but is the above fix for just the RXP530? Just purchased this aircraft and I have the same problem with the hand not bringing up the Original CAR530 as a popup window. I do not see a rxpgns.ini file and see that rxp is in the file name, this is why I am asking.Might as well also bring up the fact that when I press Shift+1 to bring up the GPS window, it does show up but the bottom half of the screen turns black. Is this just happening to me or does this happen to everyone? I can drag the screen back into full position but it happens again the next time I bring up the GPS.Appreciate any help with this.

I read in the C337 review about a xml fix by Bert Pieke for the autopilot but can't seem to find the fix here on your site. Would someone be kind enough to point this old dummy to it? I have tried a search and come up empty, must be doing something wrong.

I don't believe that option works in mission mode, just the flight analysis.

There is a long floating runway leading to the cave. You might have to turn up your scenery setting's. Just a guess.
