December 22, 201213 yr I get tired of some addons that are very high quality, but just are missing important things. For example, PMDG makes the best airplanes but not having weather radar on the ND is a huge issue with me. I wish Captain Sim and PMDG had a baby... Anyway, I find myself mainly flying now the Carenado Cessna 208 after I added the Reality XP GNS430 and WX-500. Are there any quality addons that have everything? Weather, reality-xp compatible, even some rain effects on the cockpit windows? I'm hoping the Q-400 gets released in the next few months, it looks like it has everything.
December 22, 201213 yr Hello Why would not having a weather radar be a huge issue? a working weather radar is not possible in FSX, they are eye candy only.
December 22, 201213 yr Author I think the WX-500 does a good job of finding precipitation, helps me avoid storms
December 22, 201213 yr Which add-on has everything?? Short answer--none of 'em. Stop searching Dan George (woodhick)Check out Greenbrier Aero Club, the VA for and about the GA pilot.
December 22, 201213 yr Which add-on has everything?? Short answer--none of 'em. Stop searching Got to agree, if the NGX is not good enough then give up now! G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
December 22, 201213 yr Author It's not that it isn't good enough, it's just missing weather radar and rain effects on the vc windows. With their FS9 version it was possible to have both. The Captain Sim 757 and 767 have Weather radar, I just wish they worked harder to fix the bugs and work on the FDE.
December 22, 201213 yr Commercial Member Leonardo Maddog has even more stuff than PMDG 737NGX, but it doesn't look as good. Anyway, weather radar is pretty much useless with FSX weather modeling anyway so why care?
December 22, 201213 yr This makes me chuckle! There is nothing that has everything! I don't fly the NGX but I know it has one of the most complete package as you can get in FSX. It takes hours to learn realistic planes like that ( there are many other good ones out there)! Besides FSX weather modeling is not the best, so it's not really worth it for developers to make a weather radar into the airplane!
December 22, 201213 yr Go and get ActiveSky 2012, you start the Weather-X-Gauge in the AC of your choice and voila that´s your WXradar !
