As I mentioned in an email to you Peter,I picked up FS Water yesterday and I'm quite pleased, sure there are things that can be improved upon like any payware add-on but for the most part I am quite content and look forward to continued updates.Regards

Just one question for Peter out of curiosity as It seems like no one else has asked, or if they have I didn't notice it.What differences or improvemnts have you made to the Flight1 version over your last freeware release? Thanks

I bought FS Water yesterday. I only had a small amount of time to play around with it, but here are my thoughts as compared to the other freeware textures out there:Basically, FS Water looks the best overall, compared to the textures I used. Overall being the key word. What do I mean by this? Well, FS Water looks best from each altitude, from right in the water in a floatplane to FL350. The freeware textures I have tried looked better than anything else from very low altitudes. The wave action looks great from sea level to a few thousand feet. Anything above that, and the wave action looks too extreme from altitude IMHO. It is best described as too busy. The FS Water waves look not quite as good from down low (but still very nice), however they still look good as you get higher. Plus, the screenshots just don't do the product justice. You really need to see the waves in action to really get a feel for the product. Overall, for the price I was very satisfied with the product. Not to take anything away from the freeware authors, they do excellent work as well.

Wow, what a question. (smile)About a thousand or more hours of work I would say, give or take. Here goes.........59 base water bit maps that have individually been balanced re-worked as originals to solve the short commings of the default FS 9 textures. Some of the changes are subtle and some dramactic but the main difference is 100% better. It fixes lots of problem areas where the defaults are not at all convincing. Miss-matched colours and tones are now fixed. The deep areas were often shown as shallow or visa versa in FS9. Bright electric blues were miss-matched with dull greys and the results were appalling in some regions such as the tropics and parts of numerous other regions. Also, there are 132 new sky textures11 all new and imroved environment textures. An installer to handel various configurations that allow sky and water sets configured to include your own tweaks etc.All in all a very different product to PWover15 and to me at least there is no comparision.Peter
