January 15, 201313 yr Its these type of topics that remind me what i must have spent over the past years on FSX  In no order..... 1 Yoke & Pedals 2 REX (textures) 3 GEX Europe 4 UTX Europe 5 FTX Australia 6 Shade 7 Opus (Weather) 8 EZCA 9 MCE 10 FSUIPC There are probably a few more but these are the add-ons i will be using each session. Depending where i am flying and what type of aircraft of course. Happy simming all. As if anyones bothered but i took leave of my senses and forgot to add Accu-Feel. Terrific add-on. Use it all the time : ) Kind Regards Simon.

January 15, 201313 yr In the post linked below you say that Aivlasoft EFB is reduntant, has serious flaws and is overpriced: http://forum.avsim.n...ost__p__2564623 What made you change your mind and promote it into your Top 10? Regards, Two reasons. Navigraph has sorted some of their issues with correct procedures displayed in their nav data, so that reflects on the Aivlasoft approach charts plus the approaches when I call up them up in PMDG aircraft. Secondly, I wanted a solution for taxi navigation on the ground and parking charts. There are only a few ways to do this; FSTramp, FSCommander, Aivlasoft EFB, DBS Airport GPS, or actually finding the parking charts. Finding parking charts are hard because most of the free sources of charts (i.e. airnav, aircharts.org, etc.) only include the airport overlay and not the parking stands/gates. Out of all the possible solutions, Aivlasoft gives me a more complete package between approach charts, moving map, and taxi charts that include gate information. I like consolidation. AJ Pongress
January 15, 201313 yr Hummm, Why is FSUIPC a must have? Has someone experienced FSX and add-ons not functioning (or not functioning correctly) without FSUIPC? I have about 98% of today's most "modern" add-ons for FSX, in both software and hardware and have not acquired FSUIPC, unless it comes built in to an add-on.
January 15, 201313 yr Has someone experienced FSX and add-ons not functioning (or not functioning correctly) without FSUIPC? I think the question is, whether we are talking about the registered version or the unregistered. I meant the unregistered version only, since I don't feel the need for the additional functions I'd get by registering it. To answer your question: The CS 767 comes to my mind here, if I remember correctly, it installs a copy of FSUIPC on your machine (at least the boxed version). It's the unregistered version, though. Hi Johnny767, Well earlier this year I decided to upgrade my fsx setup by buying Saitek Cessna Proflight Yoke with Throttle Quadrant, pedals and the Cessna Trim wheel and an extra Throttle quadrant for all those multi engined aircraft in our hangers. I eagerly connected everything up and it seemed to work so long as I used the default fsx settings for buttons and control axis. Thing is I wanted to set up different throttle levers to do different things depending on the plane I was flying. So imagine my 6 throttle levers, in a 747 I would want them to be spoilers, throttle 1 to 4 and flaps, but in a DC2 I would want the same 6 levers to be engine 1 mixture, prop pitch and throttle, engine 2, throttle, prop pitch, mixture. The Saitek software supplied was supposed to allow this but after two weeks frantic setting up and trying different settings it wouldn't do as it was supposed to!!! I turned to FSUIPC and bought the full version from Peter Dowson and it allows me to program any button or throttle axis on the hardware and allocate it any function that fsx recognises, I can even calibrate each one in FSUIPC if I want to. After a few days I had a profile for each aircraft in my hanger, so all the controls are set up as I want each time I load an aircraft. FSUIPC does a whole lot more too, but I haven't used alot of the other features. It is used as well by alot of home cockpit builders to enable switches and buttons in their cockpits to connect with fsx! It really is very powerful. I hope this answers as best as I can explain it briefly your question. Happy Flying, Happy Flying, Dave Phillips.
